I had great interest in this book, but after finding out that Zeitoun is a liar, abuser, and uhhh tried to have his wife killed, the story kind of losI had great interest in this book, but after finding out that Zeitoun is a liar, abuser, and uhhh tried to have his wife killed, the story kind of lost its magic. It’s well-written and Dave Eggers isn’t to blame for my DNF (I even tried to read it as a work of fiction) but I couldn’t stop thinking about what a piece of shit Zeitoun really is, so I decided to put the book down and move on....more
