I really loved learning about tatreez and the historical backbone (the massacre of Deir Yassin in 1948) of the novel. Unfortunately, I believe this novel could have been so much better had it been edited to be less revealing. Every little action is spelled out and interpreted right on the spot where I would have enjoyed space for my own reading, my own imagination and way through the pattern of the story....more
