If being abducted by aliens wasn’t bad enough, ending up stuck on a planet full of huge, hulking alien males? My worst nightmare.
Until Ayar and Vypr crash into my existence. Ayar is chaos incarnate. His mate, Vypr isn't going to let him make any more mistakes.
But Vypr will do anything for Ayar, so when he asks for me because he needs my help, Vypr uses all of his influence to get me out of the medical center and into their lives.
I've learned the hard way not to trust easily, but when it seems like Ayar wants me and Vypr doesn't, I don't want to come between them any more than I want to risk my heart.
These Gryn warriors fight hard, play hard and mate hard and, as I spend more time with them, I can feel myself falling for both males.
So, while Ayar wants to bed me, and Vypr only wants to growl at me, I have to figure out what’s best for us all, before fate tears us apart and I lose my heart all over again.
Chaos is the third book in the Elite Rogue Alien Warriors series by Hattie Jacks, featuring your favourite Gryn warriors. The steam rising from this trio will have you reaching for the A/C. Hot, spicy and fluffy, you'll fall for Ayar, Vypr and Robin over and over. Do not miss this book! For mature audiences only.
This book was EVERYTHING I wanted and so much more! ***** Rating: 5 Stars Steam: 3.5 flames Genre/Tropes: Alien/Sci-fi Romance, MMF Triggers: PTSD, Abusive previous partner ***** Since this series is a spin-off of the Rogue Alien Warriors, it never fails to put a grin on my face whenever I catch a glance of one of Seniors. However, this Elite squad of warriors is quickly carving out their own special place in my heart, with incredible heroes and heroines, as well as world-building.
The Elite Warriors discover that as a result of the destruction of Protos, they are going to have to contend with a new group of enemies. Each of these Elite Warriors are broken in their own way, but it was Ayar who shattered my heart and then pieced it back together page by page.
I mean, really, who doesn't adore a broken male protagonist who has a thing for explosions and who, in the end, finds his happily ever after? I couldn't hold back the tears when what happened to him was finally revealed. And the STEAM... holy hot hades... Vypr & Ayar SO HOT... Vypr, Ayar, & Robin... NUCLEAR!
I will definitely keep reading this series and I highly recommend it to all my alien/sci-fi lovers out there! I think you will love the story and the characters! I sure did!
I felt like there was no relationship between Vypr and Robin. There was just Vypr with Ayar and Ayar with Robin. For all his talk of Robin completing them, I still hardly remember him even touching her. There's a couple times but not nearly as often as he'll touch Ayar or even as often as Ayar touches Robin, even if it's a non-sexual touch. I still felt like Robin was the third wheel by the end of the book and Vypr just wanted her because she can provide a baby and because Ayar wants her so much.
This was another fab story for the series and I love how these three found a way to happiness. There is a ton of action, danger, twists and suspense to be found in this book, but there's also good humour, healing and smoking hot romance to balance all that out. The characters were great and I loved seeing their relationship come together and evolve into a super strong mating. Dive into this one for a sexy yet heartwarming reading ride :D
Kidnapped from Earth by Aliens. Evil aliens taking people from a place they shouldn't. Taking them for their own gain. Then taken again. These women find themselves in a nightmare of alien creatures who treat them badly. Being rescued by clawed, winged, fanged alien Angels. Can they be trusted?
These alpha scary beautiful warriors are looking for a better way of life, a life free of slavery, tyranny, and dictators fighting a war they hope to one day win. It is amongst this hostile enemy that encounter the fated eregri. A place where woman have not been for a very long time.
I was really looking forward to this book. Mostly because of timing. I discovered this new series before it was all published. But my anticipation was also because it crosses over two of my favorites genres. Alien and two heroes. So I had about a month wait for it to come out. Pins and needles!
This is the second series with the same mythology. But I haven’t started the first, preceding series, so for me the villain A.I. has already been defeated. I will go back and read the first books. I like these books that much. The prior characters do show up briefly. But not like “hey we have a book, too! Read about us!” advertisements. It’s a lot more effective and subtle.
What I’ve liked so far about this series the most is the world of Ustokos. I liked the playfulness of the guys. They are both warrior and overgrown toddler. Very sweet, very devoted. They are innocent of women, and idealize them. What’s not to like about that? The nest building is also outrageously cute. All the feathers.
Now for Chaos. We have two heroes, Ayar and Vypr, who are already mated. Yes, the Gryn are equal opportunity. But the moment where the hero knows he’s found his mate is missing here. The nest is already built. There’s no eager to please puppy-tail-wagging. It’s a gradual “oooohhh, okay, sure” instead. Which didn’t work for me compared to the earlier stories. The heroine is thirty six and is a victim of abuse by her boss back on earth. So she’s got scars. That’s mirrored in one of the heroes, which was interesting but never really explored.
We had already met the heroes. Ayar is crazily damaged. Vypr is his foundation and has ambitions of being a leader. But they already have each other and even the heroine says she doesn’t want to break that up. There’s no AHA! for either guy where they KNOW. Not like in the prior books. And if there had been that moment it could have been extraordinary.
I finished the book feeling disappointed. It could have been so much more. But it felt phoned in. Even the editing was careless.
“…this is a mission will go right for a change.” — that Usokos — Can’t really excuse misspelling your own made up world, but it happens several times. It’s Ustokos. “Show me us what you like…” “You’re going to love doing putting me at the medic’s mercy aren’t you, mate?”
There is also a lot of bizarre spelling going on. I can understand the British spelling. The heroine is British. But even Brits don’t “prize” their eyes open. It’s prise. “A genuine smile, not one bourne of his fears.” A bourne is a stream. Or Jason Bourne. So the spellings are confusing to say the least.
“He’s so big, even though I’m standing and he is seated, I’m still not taller than him.” Is that even possible? I have never understood the insistence in alien romances that the heroine be the size of a cabbage patch doll. Do they have physical therapists for the back on alien planets? Because the hero would have to pretzel himself to kiss her at the same time as fucking her. Pardon my language, but there are four c@cks involved here so let’s not be squeamish.
Ayar notices her right away. But is too much in his own head to do anything about it. Despite that latter, he is the one who is SURE of her. But Vypr brings her home to please Ayar. So right away the intensity is just meh. And the playfulness that was so attractive in the other books is replaced by a pseudo dominant submissive dynamic in the bed. I didn’t care for this at all. (And that’s saying a lot bc that’s another favorite genre). For me it killed what I liked so much about the Gryn. Even when the heroine likes to be “chased” in the first book, it’s still playful.
“She was the completion of the circle of our love, not the beginning.”
Yeah, I didn’t really get that.
So to sum up. It felt rushed. It felt like a box was “being ticked”/checked off having a story with two heroes, instead of doing them justice. The overall storyline did move forward significantly so perhaps this was a bridge book. It certainly read like it. There was also an epilogue. I have read better alien romances - in this series! - and I’ve read much better MMF romances. Chaos didn’t do either justice. Sadly.
I DNF'd this book. The female lead has PTSD from what is being described as a violent coercive sexual relationship and then she gets abducted and horribly injured. Yet the second she's offered sex by the male leads she's all for it? No sorry this doesn't work for me. Too contrived. The book would have been awesome if the author had made an effort in developing a way for her to develop feelings over time and build trust but not this sudden jumping into bed that was written. Shame too as I have loved all of her other books in the series and was really excited about this one.

🔥 “Now, pretty Robin, what should I do with you? Do I give you to Ayar? Or do I taste you for myself first?” ~~~ I loved Robin so much! She’s such an amazing woman - brave, kind, caring and compassionate. She might be tiny but there’s such fierceness in her. And she’s so strong to deal with so much - her past, being taken by aliens and then injured in the process of being rescued by the Gryn. But, with everything she’s been through back on Earth, she sees herself as damaged and broken. So, the last thing she needs is to get close to any male, alien or human. But, little did she know that two huge predators will crash into her existence and be the key to her ultimate happiness.
Ayar and Vypr are two absolutely magnificent males and I’ve loved them from the first moment they appeared on the pages. Both are huge, fearsome, dangerous, strong, honorable, fiercely protective and irreplaceable members of the Gryn Elite team. I loved how different those two were and at the same time how well they fit together. Ayar’s one troubled, unpredictable, growly warrior who’s been through so much in the hands of Proto. But he’s such a wonderful, caring and fun male. And Vypr spends so much time keeping Ayar away from trouble and is always there for him and his steady, calming and strong presence helps Ayar deal with everything. I just couldn’t help but absolutely adore everything about those fierce and fluffy males!
Everything that happened between Robin, Ayar and Vypr was spectacular. From the moment they’ve met when Vypr rescues Ayar from Proto, they’ve known they are mates and that they belong to each other. I loved the strong and passionate bond they shared even before Robin. She just made everything… more. It took some time for her to trust the two Gryn and I loved how thoughtful and respectful they were, taking only what she’s willing to give. I also loved how those three were so protective and supportive of each other and how they managed to help each other heal old wounds, face their demons and find well deserved happiness and peace. Vypr, Ayar and Robin were so perfect together and when they couldn’t resist the undeniable attraction for one another, the steamy moments they shared were blazing hot! And Vypr’s dominance and dirty mouth brought all the hotness to a whole new level. One Gryn is irresistible, but two… 😏😏😏 Oh, you’re in for a treat!
In addition, the Gryn continue their fight against the Drahon. And protecting and restoring Kor is not an easy task. With everything that’s happening and all the suspense, discoveries and twists, I was glued to the pages till the very end.
Overall, the story is another spectacular addition to the series. It’s filled with so much emotion, action, danger, suspense, humor, healing, scorching hot romance and phenomenal characters!
I couldn’t put it down and loved every single page of it!
Robin, Ayar and Vypr story is probably the best story in this series so far. This story deal with so many issues and emotions: Fear, Insecurity, Inadequately, Patience and Understanding.
Vypr knew the minute he rescued Ayar that they were Mates. Vypr is a dominate Alien and protects Ayar with his life. Ayar has been dealing with trauma for a long time since his abduction prior to Vypr’s rescue and as a result Ayar is pure Chaos. He loves explosives, guns and fighting. He doesn’t mean to stress Vypr out because he loves him, but he often feels that he is a liability to Vypr because of his destructive behavior. The love between these two Gryn Warriors was sweet, passionate and funny. Ayar was a handful, but it didn’t make Vypr love him any less.
Robin being one of the many human women rescued on one of the Gryn’s rescue missions has spent a lot of time in the surgery ward of the Gryn’s planet Ustokos due to her injuries. Robin, who has a hard time trusting men was finding it difficult to adjust to living on a planet with huge alien men. Robin is an FMC you have no choice but to love. She is loving, caring, funny and full of surprises.
After a drunken scuffle lands Ayar in the surgical ward he finds himself intrigued by the little human female so such so that he can’t stop thinking about her. During his recovery Ayar asks Vypr to bring Robin to him because he had a dream and realize he needs her. Vypr willing to do anything for Ayar asks Robin for her help in Ayar’s recovery. Vypr didn’t understand why Ayar needed a human female to care for him, but he soon realized that Robin could do for Ayar what he couldn’t….Calm him and help him relax and think before acting.
Fate has a weird sense of humor. Ayar was drawn to Robin not only because he was attracted to her but because she calmed him. Vypr also realized his attraction to Robin but denied his feeling because he didn’t want to be disloyal to Ayar. The journey this trio embarked on wasn’t without it challenges but Robin, Ayar and Vypr soon understood what was missing in their lives. Although Ayar and Vypr were Mates and very much in love there was something missing from their relationship. Robin brought a sense of peace and love that neither man knew they needed.
The more time they spent together the more they knew they didn’t want to be apart. Together they were able to face their fears and battle the demons that plagued them. Ayar was able to find his strength and inner warrior when the life of his mates was threatened. Robin became that beacon of light he needed to help him find his way back to being the Gryn Warrior both Vypr and Robin knew he could be.
This story had some laugh out loud moments, a lot of steam, some swordplay and redemption. A story about facing your fears and exorcising your demons and fighting for a love that you deserve even if you feel unworthy of it.
I know it is in the blurb but I think there does need to be a little reminder in case it got missed. All of the previous Gryn books have been MF this is MMF where the existing couple is MM. If this is not something you enjoy then please do try one of the other Gryn books, they are amazing. I think it is safe to say that Ayar has been deeply wounded by his time with Proto. He was ripped apart and put back together so much that it could not help but fracture him in some way. That he is mostly with it at all is testament to how strong he is, not that he sees it that way. He also lives with pain, nightmares, anger and a frightening fearlessness in the heat of battle. Something which often hirts him and doesn't always help his team. He is something of a demolition man in that things just end up in pieces. One piece that is definitely part of him though is Vypr and he loves him deeply. Vypr knew that Ayar was his since he first took him out of the machine where they found him. The scarred male had his heart from the start. The rage and anger he knows that Ayar feels are also there within himself as well. A kindred spirit of sorts. He does all that he can to protect Ayar, keep him safe, stop him from fighting and overcome his internal demons. So he is more than a little confused if not a bit hurt when he discovers that Ayar also seems to want Robin, a newly arrived human female. It was always just the two of them against it all and Ayar was all his and now he has to share him, possibly even takes second place? Robin has been hurt and used when on Earth. She doesn't trust males and to find that she is now in a totally new place surrounded by hundreds of huge males is not the best for her. She's stuck in the infirmary though and it is not until a huge Gryn warrior is brought in kicking off and practically trashing the place in his efforts to get out that she feels she has some sort of purpose. She can see the love his partner, Vypr, has for him and how he is struggling with his beloved being wounded. So she offers to sit with Ayar while Vypr gets something to eat. Spending time with Ayar she can see that he is more than just a "nutter" nor is he dangerous as the others view him. She sees someone who is hurting and despite everthing that happened in the past she starts to feel things for him. Allowed home to heal Ayar asks for Robin rather than have to return to the infirmary, which is the only reason she gets to escape from the ward, but she knows truthfullt that it is only becase Vypr would do anything for his mate. She feels herself to be inconsequential to him but he will put up with her, with anything really for Ayar's sake. Can she stay where she feels herself to be unwanted and where she believes she is coming between a couple?
NOTE: this is the third book in this spin-off series, and while it tells a complete and separate romance, it is part of a larger overarching storyline that goes back to the original Rogue Alien Warrior series. As such, you need to have read all the books that come before in order to understand where the characters here are coming from, and the world in which they live.
Ayar, Vypr, and Robin
As a mated pair, Ayar and Vypr never expected to meet a human woman who was their third, but Ayar knows upon meeting Robin that she is their perfect match. Damaged by Proto, Ayar has had a tough time of it all, but Vypr has been by his side the entire time, the only one who could reach and control him. Vypr isn’t sure about adding a third to their relationship. Robin and has had bad experiences with me, so she didn’t expect to find herself interested in one, let alone two of the Gryn…
Here we meet three damaged beings, the most obvious being Ayar- whose treatment at the hands of Proto has caused significant mental damage. However, he is the heart of the trio, and definitely my favourite character in the Gryn world. He is also the “chaos” that the book is named for, and we get to understand just why he is that way. This book is very much focused on the relationship between the three main characters, and the healing that this bond brings. Although there are some interesting events featuring the Drahon, and even a couple of small revelations, this is primarily a story of love and healing. That’s not to say that there isn’t sex and action, there is quite a lot of the former, including MM scenes, and the action isn’t lacking either.
A heartwarming story, this one is for the sci-fi romance lovers who don’t mind triads and MM action.
I loved this book! I thought it was fantastic and my favorite Gryn romance! Great world building as always in this series. But the characters! The characters won my heart so completely! I was so excited to read a MMF romance and I fell in love with Ayar and Vypr so fast! Their love for each other was so beautiful and powerful. Ayar has suffered traumas but takes so much comfort from Vyper who is always looking after him and knows his nuances so well. Robin was recovering in the surgery when she met the two males and was drawn to them and couldn't pinpoint why. She was badly hurt and used by a man back on Earth and distrusts males and doesn't want to be used and hurt again. But she is quickly willing to do whatever she can to help Vypr with his mate Ayar when he's badly injured. Ayar is very drawn to Robin, finds peace at her touch, and wants her to mate with him and Vypr. Watching their relationship bloom and deepen was mesmerizing and heartwarming (and oh so very steamy!!). An excellent book and I hope Hattie Jacks decides to write more MMF romances in the future! (I'm already excited at the possibility!) Highly recommended! 5 stars.
Is it possible being abducted was the best thing which could have happened to me?
OMG! This one is FIRE! We get it all - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 🌶🌶🌶🌶 / 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ayar and Vypr aren't like the other Gryn. Vypr watches over his Ayar, trying to keep him out of trouble and Ayar, well, Ayar is chaos incarnate. Pair these two up with a damaged investigative reporter (Robin) and watch the explosion!
I literally read the series just for this book and it did not fail to deliver!
***Spoiler Alert*** This one is a little different than anything else in the series. Here we have a triad of ergeris (soulmates). Vypr and Ayar have been mates since Vypr pulled him out of a death machine. What Ayar lived through, when we find out the details, we feel just like Vypr and are amazed that Ayar functions at all!
There is a lot of mating going on in this one and while there's a plot, it's definitely a second to the romance.
The ending, OMG, I couldn't put it down, my chest tight as I felt like I was right there with them through the whole ordeal.
10 out of 10, a must read, and Hattie Jacks is one of those authors that you just can't ever get enough from!

I've read many books where 3 people find love acceptance and happiness with each other, but usually the male leads have a bond of Brotherhood not a romantic relationship. This is the first where I've read that the main characters are just as madly in love with one another as they are with their chosen female. The character development is amazing they have a lot of depth and the storytelling / world building is fantastic . Ayar &Vypr have been together for a very long time and have more than a bond of friendship, they deeply love one another and are mates. They only thing truly wrong is that Ayar has suffered greatly at the hands of Proto and the torture he endured has broken his mind. Vypr found him and nurse him back to health and the have been inseparable ever since. Then both are non the team that rescues Robin. Robin was abused by someone she thought she could trust. Horribly betrayed and emotionally scared from bad experiences on Earth and then being abducted by aliens has made her scared and unwilling to open her heart. But fate waits for know one and sometimes sneaks up on you wraps you up and never lets go. These three beings slowly begin to grapple with it only with their attraction to each other but the deep feelings of love and the sense of rightness and belonging that they only find when all three of them are together. As all this unfolds their is danger all around and a true and terrifying threat against the whole planet. This is an action packed beautifully told story with lovable characters.as you read you'll want to join in their love story and root for them to be together always. Highly recommend it was truly an excellent read! 💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖

“I don’t plan, but if I did, this could not have gone better.”
Robin would do anything to get out of the medical ward where she is being well cared for… she wants to see this alien world and begin her new life. Besides, it’s kind of boring watching the healer go about his business all day.
Until Ayar is brought in, and things get lively. That alien does not like anything about the healer’s realm, and his mate Vypr can only do so much to keep him out of trouble.
Vypr is the calm steady one in the relationship, but he knows his life has been infinitely better, and easier than Ayar’s, and he’ll do anything to help his mate with the internal wounds from his past… even ask Robin to help him care for Ayar… at Ayar’s request.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited story has a great core of healing, on every level, moving forward, and finding those in your life, friends, chosen family, and partner, who believe in you, have your back in every way, and perhaps most importantly, balance you.
Hattie Jacks brings us another intriguing and addictive story from her Elite Rogue Alien Warriors series. Her stories never fail to amaze me and I am always happy to see her next book appear in my in-box. This one introduces us to Vypr and his mate Ayar - warriors who are devoted to each other. But Ayar is wounded and ends up in the med bay where Robin is recovering of injuries of her own. Ayar decides he wants Robin. The only trouble Vypr and Ayar are a gay couple and Robin is a female. Does she really have a place in their lives. Ayar is determined. Vypr feels rejected and is saddened thinking his relationship with his love is under threat. Will this work between the three of them? Will Ayar be proven right? Will Vypr lose the love of his life? On top of all this is the ever present threat from the Drahon who abducted Robin from Earth and who also tortured Ayar. Highly recommended read.
Gryn warriors are back in this third book in the Elite Rogue Alien Warrior series, and they’re just as hot, steamy and intense when it comes to their fated mates. Vypr (H) and Ayar (H) are mates with one another and play well off on another's strengths and weaknesses. Ayar was abused by the Drahon and suffers from violent and unpredictable behaviors even when he's among other Gryn. Vypr cares deeply for his mate and helps him as best he can. Robin (h) comes into their lives, with Ayar taking to her immediately and Vypr holding back somewhat, though he sees how good she is for his mate, Ayar. The trip has to learn to balance their relationship which progresses very quickly into the very hot and steamy RH side. Lots of action and adventure await the trio. Swords cross in this hot and steamy novella.
This was the most beautiful story I have read in a long time. Immensely sexy and heartwarming. Ayar and Vyper lives revolve around each other as mates, but when Ayar sees and feels the human woman Robin he knows that she is the missing piece in their lives that he didn't know he needed. Always the one to go looking for trouble and half cocked. He thought that it was impossible to have a second mate but what he feels he knows to be true. Now he must guide his mate to learn the same. Vyper always been the cool calm collected one who at first is a little apprehensive. The journey that befalls these three is the most romantic journey of their lives. Each with their owns scars, strengths and weaknesses. They are one, a family, home!.

If you have been enjoying the gorgeous men in the Elite Rogue Alien Warriors series, then book three certainly will not disappoint you. In book two, we saw these fierce warriors rescue women who are from earth and captives of the lizard creatures called the Drahon, Robin was injured when the ship of the Drahon exploded and ended up in the infirmary. She meets Vypr and Ayar there when Ayar is injured. A lot happens and Robin is released in the hands of these two warriors and they have a very heated relationship with lots of action in a way that builds their feelings towards each other and eventually they are a force to be reckoned with. They have their happily ever after and a future with their young too.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
Ayar n Vypr r part of the elite group of warriors under the direction of the Guv n r mated. Ayar is almost always doing one thing or the other that lands him in trouble with the Prime. He can't help himself, he loves to blow things up or see things blown up. He'll pick a fight with anyone, most often winding up in medical, which he hates. He's just utter chaos, as you never know what he'll do next. He keeps Vypr on his toes trying to keep him out of trouble. When he finally meets Robin again, who's in medical with broken ribs after being rescued from the Drahon, he's attracted to her but he's shy. I wasn't sure I would like this story but the author did a really nice job by portraying her characters. There's humor, turmoil, anger, humility, love, n loyalty throughout the story as Ayar, Vypr, n Robin navigate their chaotic lives.
Ayar and Vyper are amazing, wonderful mates who look after each other. Then Ayer discovers a human, Robin, and he somehow realizes that she is what the two of them need. Vyper is resistant, wanting to keep Ayar out of trouble -- but he will do anything for Ayar and he brings her into their lives.
With Ayar wanting Robin, but Vyper making it seem that he doesn't, Robin doesn’t want to start something between them. But it’s difficult to resist these two. What will she decide to do? Should she stay? Or should she walk away before her own heart gets broken again?
I couldn't put the story down. I loved Ayar, Vypr and Robin. Robin is someone who is very caring, loving, funny, faithful and sometime full of amazement. Ayar and Vypr are mates but Ayar ends up in the medical ward where Robin has been hanging out due to her injuries. Ayar is intrigued by the little human and after a dream he asks Vypr to get Robin for him. They are a fantastic team, they fight together, and love together. They find more strength together than apart. I loved this story and look forward to the next story.

Emma’s been kidnapped by lizard aliens but she has no interest in going back to Earth. Ayar’s brain was scrambled by Proto; he doesn’t know who he was before, he just likes fighting and blowing things up, plus he loves Vypr. Vypr keeps Ayar in line; he loves him steadily and endlessly, but it’s a tough job. These three find solace in each other, but will they have a chance to build a future? These three were so steaming hot together, but I loved how Ayar changed from deranged to goofy - he was a uniquely complex character, and a lot of fun to read. This series has been full of fantastic stories - these three might just be my favourite!
I loved this latest addition to the Elite Rogue Alien Warriors series! This novel continues the overarching story of the Gryn warriors’ struggle to reclaim their planet and protect it’s inhabitants from slavery and oppression by another alien species, the Drahon. Although there is an undeniable attraction between Vypr, Ayar and Robin from the start, they take a while to gel as they must overcome past traumas to truly embrace this new dynamic. An entertaining hot and steamy 5 star read!

Can i give this extra *****? It just proves the right woman is the key to happiness. Specially for V & A. A zttracks trouble with just being ptesent, but Robin isn't much different. Circumstances make them end up together. Feelings are overwhelming, growing, emotions getting out of hand. Bring in Drahon scum and V being taken.... So much to tell but it's better to read it all. Well done, Hattie Jacks.
Laid up by broken ribs from an explosion, Robin is bored not terrified as she was by abuse before being abducted by lizard men. The possibility of helping the injured Gryn warrior Ayar intrigues her as much as his mate Vypr who can calm the terrified Ayar. Helping them in their nest will get her out of the surgery sooner, so she agrees. Life gets very exciting, scary, and precious! Enjoy!!!
Ayar, Vypr, and Robin. Oh my! This story is a super-sized helping of spice! All three are so damaged from their experiences, and then they come together and heal each other. Ayar has always been a weakness for me. He seemed so in need of peace. This story is about acceptance and healing, overcoming your trauma, and it has lots of steam and spice. What is not to love? I couldn’t read it fast enough, as I just wanted to know what happened next! Wonderful addition to the series!
I was super excited for this book because I thought Ayar and Vypr were cute together. But I was frustrated by the lack of resolution for a glaring issue in their relationship. Robin was a good choice for this pair, because she fit into their dynamic. The healing arc was still good.
Ayar is completely unpredictable. Due to his past, certain stimuli can make make him enraged, uncontrollable. Robin also had a difficult past, but it makes her want to help others. An attraction forms quickly, but it’s more than just the two of them. And when they all get together, it’s hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Don’t worry there’s more than enough danger and action to more than capture your attention.
Another banger of a book! I knew from the moment they locked eyes in the surgery in the previous book that their book would be amazing. I was not disappointed. A beautiful, heartbreaking, action packed love story.

I have read and thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series and the previous one. This book features an M/M couple which becomes a trio when they take a human female as their third mate. The story revolves around them but also advances the overarching plotline running through the series. A really good, satisfying read. Recommended.
