I just want you to know that having dragged me into a Star Wars spiral, nanni proceeded to drop a Certain Bombshell on me (she keeps up with DW much better than I do) and the noises I made were unearthly.

woo hoo, one of my favorite books has just been recommended by Philip Pullman as a top ten must read. Actually, he's mentioned several of my favorite books, but this is the most obscure:
