HOMEROOM: Master Bedroom Makeover (Part 2)

Bedroom Makeover Part 2 (8)I’ve made more progress on our master bedroom makeover and I’m so thrilled with the results so far. I previously shared the first dresser makeover here where I showed how I used textured paintable paper to turn orange wood Ikea dressers into light and bright white dressers. The next step was to replace the valance with fresh curtains, paint the remaining two dressers, figure out a solution for the headboard and freshen the rest of the room.

FRESH LOOK: repainted gold table with chevron accents

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape brand painter’s tape for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

DIY Chevron Painted Table via homework | carolynshomework.comWould you believe this is my first chevron pattern project? I’ve never used the pattern on anything before this and actually you can’t really call this chevron because I switched the pattern a little to create a diamond design.

Fresh Look: my first roadside rescue {bookcase makeover}

Blog Bookshelf Makeover
First let me start by saying, I tip my hat to you ladies and gents that do these roadside rescues on a regular basis. I’ve seen your photos. I’ve read your tutorials. You grab the item at the side of the road. Bring it home. Sand it up, add some pretty chalk paint and show us your beautiful new piece of furniture.

Now I’m even more impressed with you diy rescuers because it’s a lot of work. There are creepy crawlies to deal with. Water damage. Ugly old stain that won’t go away. Storage issues and weather conditions to consider. I somehow muddled through all of those and finished my first roadside rescue.

Etceteras: dreaming of redecorating

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Havertys Furniture for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Havertys 7I would love to redecorate my house. There are some areas that I’m satisfied with but overall there are so many things that need freshening and some areas that need a complete overhaul. If I did redecorate, I would love to go light and bright like this room from Havertys: Discover Something You.
