I’ve made more progress on our master bedroom makeover and I’m so thrilled with the results so far. I previously shared the first dresser makeover here where I showed how I used textured paintable paper to turn orange wood Ikea dressers into light and bright white dressers. The next step was to replace the valance with fresh curtains, paint the remaining two dressers, figure out a solution for the headboard and freshen the rest of the room.

THE INSPIRATION BOARD: Spotlight 255 & Around the World Cakes
Welcome to a new week on homework. I’m so glad to see you back. Can you believe we’ve hit the last week in April? Spring is flying by and we will soon be in the lazy hazy days of summer. Well, not quite lazy or even hazy but summer. I can’t wait. Have you been busy creating and making things? Here’s a little glimpse at what I’ve been up to.
And now for those gorgeous projects featured this week from The Inspiration Board.

UPCYCLING: Earth Day Recycled Craft Ideas
Earth Day is tomorrow friends and one of my favorite ways to craft is by recycling items to use on a project. T-shirts, jars, paper and cans make great upcycled projects. Here are a few of my favorites.

THE INSPIRATION BOARD: Spotlight 254 & Pretty in Pink
Welcome back everyone. I hope you had a fabulous weekend. We had summer weather here in Southern California. We enjoyed temperatures in the 80’s along the coast and it felt wonderful. I worked on the master bedroom makeover some more and my aching muscles are proof of the progress I’m making. I got the rest of the bureaus painted and the curtains hung. Hooray for progress. I hope your weekend was filled with nice weather and fun things.
In case you haven’t had a chance to drop in lately, here’s what I’ve been sharing.

THE DIRT: Herbes de Provence Bouquets
To me, one of the best parts of spring is spending time in my garden. This year my herbs are doing quite well, except my Basil. Our dog ate the first plant and my replacement Basil is struggling. But everything else is thriving so I did some research on Herbes de Provence and Herb Bouquet Garni.
First up though, a little tour of my herb garden.

THE INSPIRATION BOARD: Spotlight 253 & Bloom and Grow
Spring is in the air and the projects shared on the Inspiration Board truly captured the season and inspired. Thank you so much for stopping by, sharing and commenting last week.
As for me, I’m still working on our master bedroom transformation. It’s a painfully slow process because I only have a little time every weekend to work on a small part of the room. I’m hoping to finish up the bureaus and start on the headboard and window treatments soon. I also shared some recycled K Cup pots and DIY Green Sea Glass.
And now for the projects featured this week.

UPCYCLING: K Cup Succulent Pots
Earth Day is around the corner and I love making recycled or upcyled projects even if it’s not in honor of Earth Day. One of my guilty pleasures is my Keurig Coffee Maker. I drink coffee throughout the day and having that fresh little cup of coffee is so darn nice. Except for the plastic K Cups that pile up. I can’t wait for the coffee manufactures to all move to a biodegradable container. I heard it’s coming soon.
