Tail End Charlie (plural Tail End Charlies)

1. (chiefly British, slang, in World War II) The last aircraft in a formation.
2. (chiefly British, slang, in World War II) The rear gunner in a bomber.
3. (military, slang) The man guarding the rear of a patrol.
4. (meteorology, slang) The southernmost thunderstorm in a band of storms, often subject to the best conditions for strengthening.
