Speaks for itself. In the prequel comic Tails states he tracked Sonic’s energy signature “across the galaxy”, so we’ll use for the distance of his home planet.
As for the time frame, Tails says the energy blast reached his home world the very night it was fired. Sonic released the blast in Green Hills, Montana, a fictitious town shown to be located somewhere in Powell County, giving a time period of 10 hours and 43 minutes between sunset and sunrise (38580 seconds).
