Summary

Quetzalcoatlus was a pterosaur from the Late Cretaceous that lived mainly throughout the southern United States and was one of the largest known pterosaurs (Hatzegopteryx was likely heavier). Furthermore, it was one of the very last pterosaurs to exist before their extinction in the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event, 66 million years ago.
