Lideo
It's a new experience!
~ Lideo's catchphrase

Lideo HDD

S-Sha: I'll ask you once more. Is this truly what E-Sha desired?

Lideo: Yep. That was her final wish.

S-Sha: In other words, you placed her desire on a scale against my own, and weighed heavier the former. Then truly, I have no choice but to fight you. If you insist that I continue on living, then show me the strength of your conviction!

Lideo: Looks like you're not your usual, disinterested self today, S-chan.

Neptunia: Game Maker R:Evolution OST - Lideo's Theme

Summary

Lideo (リディオ, Ridio), alternatively named Ridio in the soundtrack, and called Reedio in the English version, is one of the protagonists of Neptunia: Game Maker R:Evolution. She is one of the three Failure Goddesses who competed against the First Makers in a battle for Shares, which she and the two other Failure Goddesses ultimately lost, dooming them to obscurity. However, after being stumbled upon by a dimension traveling Neptune, she and the other Failure Goddesses were able to repair their reputation under a new company called "Victory".

Lideo is the programmer and graphics designer for the company Victory. She is described as a mad scientist who makes brazen and "nasty" comments about other whilst retaining a ditzy smile on her face. She often likes to be called "Professor", and is no stranger to attempting to perform experiments in her search for new experiences. She is also a bit self-centered, believing herself to be the most sensible individual in the world despite her experimental craze.

Lideo is the personification of the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer console, a console that was doomed to fail, being unable to compete in the console market due to its high price and extreme competition with Sony and SEGA.

Intelligence: Genius (Lideo, as a scientist and a programmer, has shown her expertise in various different fields. Seemingly adept in automotive development, as after Neptune broke Lideo's bike in the Prologue,[5] she stated that the bike was "under the knife" and undergoing maintanence, with Jarga saying that it undoubtedly means some modifications will occur as well.[16] At Pipi's request, Lideo created a device that teleports anyone whom walks through a specific door into a dungeon.[15] Supposedly partakes in neurosurgery, as she humored the idea of experimenting on Pipi's brain to give it the creative spark she wants, with Pipi responding in a frightened manner, saying to "hurry before she starts picking at my brain". Lideo is the creator of the "Mr. Immersion Pro MAX" virtual reality device, which she describes to be an "evolution" of VR gaming that would allow the user to be transported into the game world by quantizing the user's body and consciousness. Additionally, to save everyone trapped within the game world due to the device, she developed a nullification disc that would send out periodic signals to reverse the quantum entanglement. During their search for the "parent device" of the Mr. Immersion headset, Lideo prepared and created a device that would allow them to locate the headset through the electromagnetic waves it gives off. As they attempted to use the parent device, Lideo was able to disarm the trap set up at the device to allow them to enter the game world.[14] Her first weapon, "Lideo's Orbs", states in its description that she herself made them, with these orbs being the catalyst for a myriad of Lideo's magical attacks, including her EXE Drive, Buster Blaster. An adept fighter in battle, Lideo is capable of fighting against skilled adversaries such as S-Sha,[15] the[17] Goddess[18] Candidates[19] - known as the Second Sisters in Game Maker R:Evolution's dimension - and fake copies of Purple Heart and Green Heart,[20] as well as Black Heart and White Heart[21])

Weaknesses: Her Share Energy is able to be cancelled out with large amounts of Negative Energy.

  • Rush Attacks: These are attacks that utilize multiple hits in rapid succession to damage the opponent, but are slightly weaker than normal.
    • Trail Orb: "Attack with a barrage of orbs."
    • Upper Trail: "Close in on the enemy, then strike with rising fire orbs."
    • Ice Trail: "Attack by firing orbs wrapped in ice in a circle."
