~ Higurashi to Nepgear |
Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters OST - Break Break Break!
Summary
Higurashi (ひぐらしのなく頃に, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) is a maker originating from the PC Continent, who had fled to Gamindustri after being subjected to the threat of Arfoire and the Trendi Phenomenon[1].
She is introduced as a friend of Histoire's - alongside Shanghai Alice - and is shown to already be acquainted with Blanc[2]. She and Alice have been helping fight off Trendi Phenomenons for the two years that the Candidates were asleep. Lover of all things cute, Higurashi has shown infatuation with the Candidates, Neptune, Histoire, and even Seely, for she finds them to be adorable. She often proclaims that she's "taking them home", and on occasion, tries to kidnap Rom and Ram, and even Histoire. Outside of this trait of hers, Higurashi is a kind and helpful individual, willing to help others at a moment's notice.
However, if she feels that she or her friends are being backstabbed by someone, she begins to feel the urge to save them from betrayal. This reached a point to where, after witnessing footage of Maho developing the IS Crystal in a laboratory, she shouted out "That's a lie!" and immediately went berserk, threatening to kill Maho as a result. This stems from her wanting to keep her friends safe after the disappearance of the PC Continent, her home, and thus those she considered her friends before.
Higurashi is the personification of the visual novel series Higurashi no Naku Koro ni of the greater 07th Expansion series, and her appearance and personality closely resembles that of Rena Ryūgū.
Powers and Stats
Tier: 2-C, possibly 1-C
Name: Higurashi
Origin: Hyperdimension Neptunia (Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters)
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown
Classification: Maker of PC Continent
Powers and Abilities:
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Expert Cleaver and Bat Wielder
- Breaking the Fourth Wall (Characters in Neptunia are aware of the player's existence and hold a "Thank You For Playing" celebration at the end of each game)
- Non-Physical Interaction (Similar to the Goddesses, and can interact with entities made of data or otherwise exist as 2D creatures. Via "Lightning Cutter"; Lightning Cutter's description states that it's so sharp that it can cut through lightning)
- Berserk State (Under the suspicion of being betrayed, Higurashi will go berserk and start attacking whom she believes to be the perpetrator[3]. This was the case when she witnessed footage of Maho creating the IS Crystal, where she lost control and started to attack Maho, becoming enough of a threat for the other Goddesses to step in and subdue her[4])
- Statistics Amplification (Via "Rampage Bat"; Rampage Bat states that it focuses the user's anger and makes them stronger)
- Shockwave Generation (With "Fang of First Love" and "Frozen Toes", Higurashi stabs the ground with her weapon and unleashes shockwaves at the enemy)
- Statistics Reduction (Through "Brother Hawk's Claws", "Red Wishing Claw", "Rising Kizuna Attack", and "Blood Rage", Higurashi can lower the physical attack power, magical attack power, magical defense, and physical defense of an enemy respectively. She can also use "Demon's Wrath" to lower an enemy's speed)
- Poison Infliction (Through "Liar's Poison Claw", Higurashi can inflict enemies with the Poison status)
- Teleportation (Akin to fellow Maker Shanghai Alice, she has the ability to teleport in Sisters VS Sisters, which she can use multiple times without repercussion)
- Forcefield Generation (When a character performs a guard in Sisters VS Sisters, it generates a polyhedronal forcefield that covers their body which reduces the damage received from attacks by a significant amount, making it so attacks that dealt damage in the hundreds now only deal damage in the low tens[1])
- Regeneration (Low; through the use of Pink Idea Chips, Higurashi can recover health overtime)
- Status Effect Inducement (Through the use of Yellow Idea Chips, Higurashi can inflict the Poison, Paralysis, and Apathy statuses)
- Damage Reduction (Through the use of Blue Idea Chips, Higurashi is able to take reduced damage from Dragon, Ghost, Insect, Plant, Aquatic, Slime, Avian, Data, Animal, Machine, Inorganic, Human, and Goddess category enemies, as well as take reduced damage from Physical, Magical, and Elemental attacks)
- Damage Boost (With "Combo Power+", Higurashi's damage increases when performing a string of attacks)
- Resistance to:
- Elemental Manipulation (Through the use of Blue Idea Chips, Higurashi is able to resist attacks that use the Fire, Ice, Wind, Lightning, Light, or Darkness elements)
- Status Effect Inducement (Through the use of Yellow Idea Chips, Higurashi can resist being inflicted with Paralysis, Transformation Negation (Virus), Poison, Apathy, Confusion, and Shadow Hold)
Resistance to Space-Time Manipulation and Existence Erasure (Should be similar to that of the VII cast, whom can resist attacks from the Dark Goddesses, who have these abilities), Elemental Manipulation (Of Fire, Ice, Wind, Lightning, Light, Darkness, Earth, and Water; partook in a battle against the four Goddess Candidates and three of the main Goddesses, all of whom possess abilities with these elements, and remained unaffected by said attacks[4]), Extreme Heat (Unaffected by the heat of Nepgear's weapons, which are often noted to be extremely hot, made of lasers, or otherwise stated to slice through metals and alloys like butter[4])
Attack Potency: Low Multiverse level, possibly Complex Multiverse level (Fought off multiple Trendi Outbreaks with Alice over the course of two years[2]. After going berserk, she threatened to kill Maho[4], whom was able to one-shot a Trendfluencer and needed to be subdued by the HDD Goddess Candidates[5]. Higurashi was only able to be defeated with the combined effort of seven Human Form Goddesses[4])
Speed: FTL combat speed (Kept up with multiple Human Form Goddesses)
Lifting Strength: Class 25 (Shouldn't be much weaker than Blanc)
Striking Strength: Low Multiverse level, possibly Complex Multiverse level
Durability: Low Multiverse level, possibly Complex Multiverse level (Endured multiple attacks from several Goddesses and had to be defeated with their combined effort)
Stamina: Superhuman (Can fight against seven Goddesses at the same time for a decently long while before eventually losing)
Range: Extended Melee Range with her cleaver, Dozens of Meters when throwing her cleaver
Standard Equipment: A various assortment of cleavers, bats, armors, and Game Discs
Intelligence: Above Average (Though she acts a bit clueless, Higurashi is able to snuff out anyone whom she believes to be a traitor, as she was able to quickly put the pieces together against Maho. She's also decently skilled, as whilst she was in a berserk state, she did battle against seven of the eight Goddesses. She has shown the capability to defeat the "Mecha Doll", "Mecha Peacekeeper", and "Battle Goddess" enemies, where they are mentioned to have the battle data of a Goddess installed in them[6], have both the battle data and greater mobility through their wings[7], or are stated to have both the battle data and is "the ultimate autonomous soldier which passed all tests with flying colors"[8]. Additionally, these Mecha enemies have even shown the same exact fighting style as the Goddess they imitate due to sharing the same motions of attacks as the Goddesses they imitate. This would include the likes of Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and all of the other Goddesses given there are multiple Mecha Doll, Peacekeeper, and Goddess entities; one such example is the "Mecha Doll PN-NG" enemy, with the "PN-NG" standing for "Planeptune-Nepgear", meaning that the specified Mecha Doll has the battle data and combat style of Nepgear. Higurashi has demonstrated the ability to defeat multiple of these Mecha enemies at once on their own, such as in the Arena, where several fights contain these enemies in batches or lonesome, up to a maximum of 6 enemies, with one such fight containing two Battle Goddesses, which would realistically show more combat proficiency and skill than the standard Mecha Dolls and Mecha Peacekeepers as a result of them "[passing] all tests with flying colors"[1])
Weaknesses: If she finds something to be cute, she'll become immediately infatuated with it and stop fighting as a result.
