Summary
Hayate Gekkō (月光 ハヤテ, Gekkō Hayate) was a tokubetsu jōnin of Konohagakure.
Powers and Stats
Tier: 8-A, possibly 7-C
Name: Hayate Gekko
Origin: Naruto
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Classification: Human, Ninja
Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Acrobatics, Chakra Manipulation, Weapon Mastery, Statistics Amplification (Shinobi are capable of enhancing their physical capabilities with the use of chakra. The Shunshin no Jutsu allows Shinobi to greatly enhance their speed by focusing chakra in their feet[1][2][3]), Surface Scaling and Water Walking (By focusing chakra at the soles of their feet, Shinobi can scale and cling to vertical surfaces, and even walk on water[4][5]), Afterimage Creation, Stealth Mastery, and Speed Enhancement (The Substitution Jutsu allows its user to instantly replace themselves with a nearby object such as a tree log, plant, person, or clone at the exact moment they are attacked. The Jutsu works even if the user is physically restrained or observed by characters as observant as Sharingan or Sage Mode users. This creates the optical illusion of the user being hit, which confuses the opponent and gives them an opening to flee or counterattack[6][7][8][9][10]), Minor Illusion Creation and Duplication (With the Clone Technique[11], Shinobi can create illusionary duplicates of themselves that have no physical substance), Shapeshifting (With the Transformation Technique[11], Shinobi can transform themselves into other people, animals, plants, and even inanimate objects, such as weapons), Paralysis Inducement (With the Temporary Paralysis Technique[12], Shinobi can completely paralyze their targets from close to mid range)
Attack Potency: Multi-City Block level (Restrained Neji alongside the other Jōnin[13]. His job as the Chūnin Exams proctor entailed being able to stop the fights when necessary), possibly Town level (He was able to harm Baki, although he was later killed off-screen.[14] As a jōnin, he should be comparable to the CS2 Sound Four, since Kidomaru belived that fighting two jōnin would be difficult[15] and later claimed that if they held back against said jōnin, they'd have been killed[16])
Speed: At least High Hypersonic+ (He is regarded as one of Konoha's best Shinobi.[17] As a jōnin, he should be superior to the CS2 Sound Four, since Kidomaru belived that fighting two jōnin would be difficult[18] and later claimed that if they held back against said jōnin, they'd have been killed[19], despite the fact that those jōnin were out of chakra and exhausted from a mission.[20] Fought against Baki and kept up with him, although he was defeated in the end[21][Note 1]), likely Massively Hypersonic (As a jōnin, he should likely be superior to Neji Hyūga, who is stated to be chūnin level[22][Note 2])
Lifting Strength: Unknown
Striking Strength: Multi-City Block level (At least comparable to Neji), possibly Town level (Capable of harming Baki)
Durability: Multi-City Block level, possibly Town level (Comparable to his striking strength)
Stamina: High
Range: Standard melee range with sword, dozen of meters with kunais.
Standard Equipment: Sword, Kunai
Intelligence: At least Gifted (Ninjas, by default, have exceptional and well rounded scientific knowledge[23]. He is considered a talented ninja by Baki, also proved to be quick thinking and a cunning strategist)
Weaknesses: None
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone): Creates a clone(s) of the user able to perform techniques and interact with the environment due to it having physical substance; and also evenly distributes the user's chakra to each clone. If the clone is injured, the clone will disperse.
Dance of the Crescent Moon: The user and two of their shadow clones attack a target from different directions with a bladed weapon. As they move towards their target, the attackers usually leap through the air in a formation reminiscent of the crescent moon, hence the name. Because all three attacks are meant to simultaneously come from a blindspot, targets can't reasonably defend against all of them. Moreover, because of the power behind the strikes, if even one of them lands successfully, the target is likely to be fatally wounded.
