Summary[]

Golurk is a dual-type Ghost/Ground Pokémon. It is a giant golem-like Pokémon that has existed since ancient times. Created as laborers, these Pokémon exist to help other humans and Pokémon, often following their master's orders faithfully unless the seal in their chest is removed.

Golett is Golurk's first evolutionary form. Just like Golurk, it is also made by the same ancient civilization with similar methods. However, their function is less clear and instead, more interest is drawn on the strange energy that has powered it since ancient times and likely powers its evolved form as well.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Abilities[]

  • Iron Fist: Golurk's primary special ability. It simply strengthens Golurk's punch based moves.
  • Klutz: Golurk's secondary special ability. It causes Golurk to be incapable of using held items.
  • No Guard: Golurk's hidden (tertiary) special ability. Golurk employs no-guard tactics to ensure incoming attacks always land though as a consequence, it does not try as hard to evade attacks

Moves[]

Note: Only techniques that Golurk or its pre-evolutions Golett can naturally learn will be listed in this profile. No TMs, HMs, or Tutor Moves.

  • Focus Punch: The user focuses their power. If interrupted, this move does nothing, but if they get the attack off, it does incredible damage.
  • Mud Slap: The user slaps the opponent with mud. This has a high chance to lower the opponent's accuracy.
  • Rollout: The user continuously rolls into the opponent, doing more and more damage with each consecutive hit.
  • Astonish: The user startles the opponent with an attack. This has a chance to make them flinch.
  • Defense Curl: The user curls up into a ball, raising their defense.
  • Pound: The user pounds the opponent.
  • Shadow Punch: The user punches the opponent from shadows. This has a very hard time missing.
  • Curse: A move that works differently if the user is Ghost- type. Golett, being a Ghost- type, cuts it health in order to lay a curse on the opponent. The curse takes a sizable portion of their health every so often.
  • Night Shade: The user attacks the opponent with a mirage. This has a set damage, equal to how powerful the user is.
  • Stomping Tantrum: The user stomps about. This move does double damage if their last move has failed or missed.
  • Iron Defense: The user hardens their body like iron, sharply raising their defense.
  • Magnitude: The user's body becomes outlined in a brown aura. Then, they jumps into the air and stomps on the ground, creating an earthquake. It ranges from Magnitude 4 to 10.
  • Mega Punch: The user punches the opponent with a powerful haymaker.
  • Shadow Ball: The user fires a blob of ghostly energy at the opponent. This has a chance to lower their special defense.
  • Heavy Slam: The user slams into the opponent. This move does more damage the heavier the user is than the opponent.
  • Phantom Force: The user disappears in shadow into another dimension. Shortly after, the user attacks the opponent with ghostly force. This move bypasses forcefields and precognition.
  • Hammer Arm: The user slams its arm down on the opponent. Powerful as it is, it will cost the user some speed if it lands.
  • Earthquake: The user creates an earthquake that hits all in range.
  • Dynamic Punch: The user punches the opponent so hard that it will cause confusion if it hits.
