Summary

Blastoneuron were minor antagonists from Star Trek: The Original Series, in Season 1, Episode 29, Operation -- Annihilate!. They were a group of unicellular beings, spawning from a much larger being from another galaxy. They had invaded the planet Deneva, after having wiped out several other civilizations. Their goal was unknown, but their actions led to the death of Captain Kirk's brother, Sam, as well as his sister-in-law and nephew.

Powers and Abilities: Small Size (Type 1), Flight, Surface Scaling, Possession, Body Puppetry, Pain Manipulation, Madness Manipulation (Type 1), Biological Manipulation (By piercing others with its stinger it can release a strand of tissue into the body of the one attacked, creating a parasite inside someone. Said tissue would then entwine itself with the nervous system of the target at the cellular level, to the point conventional medicine and surgery cannot do anything about it. It would then control the bodies of its victims, driving them mad with pain and eventually killing them), Invulnerability (The creature is a singular brain cell of a much larger organism who originated from another galaxy, where the conventional laws of physics don't apply. This made it immune to any form of harm, with the exception of immensely bright lights), Resistance to Energy Manipulation, Temperature Manipulation, Fire Manipulation, Ice Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation, Biological Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Antimatter Manipulation, Matter Manipulation, Radiation Manipulation, Physics Manipulation (Exists outside of conventional physical laws, showing incredible resistance to anything the Enterprise could do), Light Manipulation (Even with its weakness to bright lights, it would only die to the equivalent of 1 million candela per square inch), Life Manipulation (Is a non-standard form of life, if it could even be considered that. Standard Tactics: Its behavior is mostly passive, but when approached by humans it will fly wildly about, only to be hit. It will then play dead, and when its victims are distracted, it would sting them to release the parasitic tissue inside.
