Summary

Aldebaran, commonly known as Al, is officially Priscilla Barielle's knight, although he hates knights, and just like Subaru he is a normal person that has been summoned from Japan.

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Statistics Amplification (In mental or physical urgency, a person's Gate will open and use mana to allow for superhuman ability[1]), Instinctive Action (Can attack his opponents with pure instinct[2]), Skilled Swordsman, Time Manipulation (Can redo events that occurred with a short period of time, such as when he dies he seemingly goes back to a few minutes before that event[2]), Earth Manipulation (Can fire stones[2] at his opponent), Aura (Overwhelming - Fighting spirit can cause those around to feel like their skin is on fire[3], and make it feel as if the surroundings is shaking[4]), Extrasensory Perception (Al has instincts that can tell him how powerful someone is[2]. Can sense the presence of others[5]), Analytical Prediction (By making use of his looping ability, he eventually becomes able to know exactly what people are going to do, and even if he fights someone later, his body remembers exactly how to move against them[6]), Explosion Manipulation (Can cause his sword to explode[7], sending debris flying at his opponent), Sealing (Can seal others away, preventing them from moving[7] and activating their gates to use magic), Fate Manipulation (Al's ability allow him to twist destiny and break through inescapable fates[8]), likely Resistance to Fear Manipulation (As he holds an Authority, he is likely holding a Witch Factor, and having a Witch Factor grants resistance to a Witch's aura which causes fear[9]), and Madness Manipulation, Soul Manipulation & Mind Manipulation, Poison Manipulation (Type 3 - Witch Factor holders are unaffected by Witch's Miasma that can cause people to go insane, and corrupts their soul. Effecting the soul also effects the mind[10] as the mental[10] has been equated to the spiritual[11]. Miasma is poisonous when consumed[12], and causes great suffering to those who eat it[13])

Attack Potency: At most Mountain level (Al was mentioned to have second rate skills, and thus was inferior to Hornet, who was on the level of Divine Generals. However he was still able to take her attacks[2], albeit he stumbled backwards from their force)

Speed: Sub-Relativistic combat speed (Could somewhat keep up with Hornet, who is on the level of Divine Generals)

Lifting Strength: Class 5 (Should be comparable to Garfiel Tinsel)

Striking Strength: At most Mountain level

Durability: At most Mountain level

Stamina: Superhuman (Al will die hundreds of times[2] to kill his opponent. He was also able to fight continuously for several hours[5])

Range: Several Meters

Standard Equipment: His helmet and Blue Dragon Sword

Intelligence: Gifted (Al has spent 10 years as a slave fighting for his life[2]. Al can come up with tens of difference ways to kill people[2] like Hornet who are more skilled than him, and can successfully make those plans a reality)

Weaknesses: He is a second-rate swordsman. His Authority has an unknown requirement for activation and affects a limited area.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Unknown Authority: Al has an ability which he calls his Authority[14], which allows him to loop time in seemingly as much as he wishes so long as he remains in a specified area, referred to as his territory. This Authority will seemingly randomly assign roles to those within the territory- the role of "Victim" and "Aggressor". Al is most often the victim, and when he takes this role his Authority acts similarly to Subaru's Return by Death, looping time upon Al's death back to when he first activated his Authority, allowing him to attempt a fight as much as he wishes, learning everything about his opponent's fighting style and exploiting the knowledge he gains, but this requires an inhuman level of mental stamina as dying is agonizing. When Al wins the metaphorical coin flip, he will take the role of the aggressor and time will loop upon his or the victim's death, but he will remember none of the time looping caused by his Authority while the victim will; this is Al's most powerful ability as from his perspective his opponent becomes instantly insane from looping countless times, allowing him to immediately deactivate his Authority.
  • Earth Magic: Al has been shown to be able to use Earth Magic.
    • Dona: With this spell he can fire stones at his opponents.
    • El Dona: With this spell he can raise a small wall of earth wherever he aims.
  • Ol Shamak: An anti-Witch trump card that Al acquired. It hardens the movement of his target, and halts the activity of their gate, preventing them from using magic.
