Biography[]
Background[]
Gaining access to the lost magical technologies of the distant past, which King Arvin Donor tried to destroy with all his might, researcher Steven Persson and his assistant Woody Crunch built a structure of unknown purpose according to ancient blueprints, which turned out to be Tesseract the portal of time travel.
After the researchers accidentally activated the Tesseract, they were teleported to the future, nineteen years ahead. At the moment of time travel, the portal split Steven into two parts, himself and his almost identical clone. For a while, Steven's copy retained his memory, it called for Woody's help, screamed and cried while the researchers watched it and wondered. But, soon the entity disappeared into thin air and the researchers forgot about it, reducing it to a side visual effect of teleportation.
However, on the first night of their stay in the new era, the world was overrun by monsters that slaughtered about thirty percent of the kingdom's population. The kingdom’s government disappeared after the third night. After a month of daily undead attacks, the monsters disappeared and did not show up once for thirty years. After thirty nights of the raid, the world was engulfed by fogs as thick as milk, in which dozens of people disappeared. This terrifying cataclysm led to the extinction of ninety percent of the world's population.
Realizing that their actions have led to the apocalypse, Steven and Woody understands that they must go back in time and stop the appearance of the Tesseract using a barrier of diamond blocks, which was described in ancient drawings. Crunch goes into the past alone, and Steven stays in the destroyed future being one of the few survivors.
Playing with Time[]
Two thieves on the run, Brian Slope and Alan Teed find the Tesseract in the bright present (two years before the apocalypse) and by chance move to the ruined future. Wandering through the empty world, friends come across the Middendorph fort, where they meet Steven, who tells them about everything that has happened to the world. Brian and Alan agree to help Woody accumulate enough diamond blocks in the present to prevent the portal from appearing and stop the end of the world.
