There was once a time that I was scared of you. Now, I'm finally going to stand up for myself.
~ Tigry standing up to Willow before their fight in Camp.

Tigry is the secondary antagonist of the Piggy franchise.

He is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Willow) of Book 2, serving as a major antagonist of the first half, and the main antagonist of the second half.

During his youth, he was bullied and ignored by his parents. He had joined the military but deserted due to accidently killing his friend. During the infection, he joined The Silver Paw. Unfortunately, the members, including the leader, Willow, didn't treat him well. Having enough, Tigry steals Willow's tugboat to find a cure at Doveport. He encounters Willow there but she apologises to him for being rude to him. The two set off on their own adventure.

Personality[]

Tigry is first shown to be quiet, calm and reserved. In reality he was suffering from insecurities and anxiety from being belittled and looked down on by his family and peers. Tigry always constantly attempts to prove that he is worth more than how he is perceived. As a child, Tigry was always optimistic and tries to prove himself, even though no one cared about him, until he gets tired of trying and runs away.

Tigry then enlisted in the military as an opportunity to turn his life around, though he later left due to accidentally killing his friend, Danny, thinking that he was a monster who was after him due to experiencing hallucinations. It's clear that he was traumatized after the incident, and felt guilty for what he'd done.

When he first met Willow, he was scared of her at first. Before long, though, the two were close, and Tigry finally had someone to talk to, someone that would listen, however Willow would suddenly change her attitude towards him, being intimidating and bossing him around, and the two went on bad terms. Even T.S.P didn't like him, bossing him around, and he got anxiety because of it. Tigry missed Rash dearly when he gets infected, presumably even going out of his way to get the cure for him.

After all that he endured, Tigry finally gets enough courage and soon chooses to stand up for himself and follow his own path, first by choosing not to stop The Safe Place group from leaving in the ending of Sewers, then taking Willow's keys to her tugboat in order to travel to Doveport to get the cure for himself. Once again, he tries to show that he is more than what is seen of him, especially to Willow, by fighting her.

In the Hidden Ending, after the Player stops Willow and Tigry from fighting, Tigry tells Willow that he wants things to go back to the way before, a time where they were friends, since he's tired of fighting for so long. In the ending, Willow apologizes to Tigry for mistreating him. Tigry forgives her, saying that he's giving her another chance since she's family, and the two reconcile and travel together. In the credits, the two are seen talking by the old campfire in the Alleys, seeing that they have rekindled their friendship.

His right shoulder and left hand are black. Before he joined The Silver Paw, he wore a royal purple t-shirt and blackish-blue pants.

Biography[]

Childhood[]

Tigry was a tiger who lived in Lucella. While in school, he was bullied by Leon, Wally and Dane. One time, Tigry was playing basketball at school with Leon and Wally watching him. When Tigry misses a shot, Leon goes to give the ball to him but pushes him over and falls over (due to Wally being behind him). Another time is when Tigry notices Leon and Wally chatting in the hallway. Not wanting to get bullied he goes the other way only to be shoulder tackled by Dane.

While at home, his parents never to notice of him and were never proud of him about Tigry's achievements and good grades. One time, Tigry draws a picture of himself and goes to show it to his dad. His dad pushes him aside as he watches tv and doesn't take notice of the picture. After coming home from school, Tigry goes to show his mom that he got a A-. However, she doesn't take notice of it, so Tigry leaves in anger. Another time after getting home from school, Tigry shows his mom a trophy he got but she doesn't take notice of it as she's on the phone. She leaves to another room to not get interrupted while on the phone. He notices his dad walk pass and shows it to him, but he shakes his head and leaves.

This marks the last straw for Tigry. So when Tigry was now an adult, he runs away from his home one night while taking one last look at it before leaving. One day, Tigry walks past a Military poster. Taking interest, Tigry decides to sign up for the Militrary and is soon trained. During his time, he meets a soldier named Danny and the two become friends.

Accidental Murder and Deserting the Military[]

During a war, Tigry and Danny are told by Sergent Monroe to get into the enemy's base. Tigry and Danny succeed but Tigry falls into a bunker inside the base. When there, Tigry experiences hallucinations of locations in his childhood and meets a creature named Ombra created by TIO. Tigry soon manages to find a knife in a weapons room. Tigry uses the knife on Ombra. By this time, the hallucinations stop and Tigry realizes that Ombra was Danny (as he hallucinated him as Ombra). Devasted and traumatized, Tigry deserts the Military and heads back to Lucella.

Joining The Silver Paw[]

Once the Infection begins, Tigry hides in an Alleyway. One day, Tigry is approached by a wolf named Willow. Willow pulls out a purple scarf out of her backpack and offers it to Tigry. Believing Willow to be an infected, Tigry protects himself, bult Willow tells him he won't hurt her and the two get along.

While talking about their life's, Tigry talks to Willow about his life and Willow allows him to speak despite going on for a while. While going near the river, the two meet Pony, a friend of Willow's before the Infection. Afterward, the three recruited more members to join the group. However, most of the members, excluding Pony and possibly Foxy, didn't treat him well, especially Willow. Due to this, Tigry took anxiety pills. He didn't want to stand up to Willow as he was afraid of her at the time.

Meeting new survivors[]

One day, Willow gets a call through a radio from a group called The Safe Place. She tells the group to meet them at the Old Oak out of town. Willow tells Tigry, along with Pandy, Kitty and Baren about it and the four head over to the Old Oak.

Book 2[]

Chapter 2: Store[]

Tigry, along with some other members The Silver Paw, cornered Zizzy, Pony and the Player at the Old Oak. Tigry stands near the far left of Willow while also learning about how The Player arrested her before. Afterward, Tigry and the other members take Zizzy captive and bring her back to the Refinery.

Chapter 3: Refinery[]

While at the Oil Refinery, Tigry witnesses the Player and Pony sneaking in. Thinking that capturing them will help him prove he's worthy to the other members, Tigry attempts to capture the two to show the members but ends up failing.

It's possible that due to this, Tigry didn't go with the other members to capture the Safe Place members. Tigry decides to head over to the Factory, another Settlement the group have.

Chapter 5: Sewers[]

After a whole day of the Safe Place members being in their cell, Tigry witnesses the Player free the members and leave and is about to throw his dagger. However, realizing that no matter how much he tries, he won't he's worthy to the members. Due to this, Tigry decides not to throw his dagger. Unfortunately, Willow witnesses this and nudges Tigry aside while also calling him useless. Because of this, Tigry decides he's had enough and decides to leave the group.

Chapter 6: Factory[]

Before leaving, Tigry manages to get into Willow's Office and finds notes about her past life. He then finds out that on a radio in the room, a report mentions that a cure is being developed by the Military across the ocean at Doveport. Wanting to save his friend Rash, Tigry decides to go. He takes the boat key Willow has and leaves.

After heading outside the Factory, Tigry notices everyone outside. Seeing Willow having her gun out, Tigry throws one of his daggers at the gun throwing it out of her hand to make sure she didn't hurt anyone. Tigry takes one more look before walking away to the Port. No one except the Player notices Tigry leaving and notices the key for the boat in his pocket. Tigry heads over to the Port and steals Willow's tugboat. Before leaving, Tigry changes into a more winter outfit instead of his member clothes and leaves for Doveport.

Chapter 9: Docks[]

Once getting there, Tigry manages to get past the Docks and onto a platform to the surface. Suddenly, he hears a voice on the other side of the other platform. Tigry turns and notices it's the Player. The two have a conversation on why they're at Doveport. The Player explains that Willow is helping them find the cure. Tigry tries warning the Player that Willow trying to use them and the others to get to it before him. He then tells them that Willow's not the type of person to change. Tigry then tells the Player that his other still stands and hopes to see them soon before leaving.

After heading to the surface, Tigry heads over to the Military campsite named Outpost Echo. Tigry manages to avoid the infected soldiers there and manages to get into the laboratory underneath the campsite.

Chapter 11: Camp[]

After using a lift to get down, Tigry, realising that Willow would arrive soon, decides to set up dynamite around the lab to slow her down. He places the dynamite around the place even where the cure was. After setting one more dynamite down in the corridor, Tigry notices Willow and the Player. Willow mocks Tigry for thinking that explosives could stop her. Tired and fed up of Willow and for all of the things that has happened to him in the past, Tigry finally stands up to himself to Willow.

Tigry reveals to Willow how he was scared of her once but now he wants to stand up for her now. Willow tries to tell Tigry that she's helped him survive the Infection and believes this is her thanks. The two then get into a fight which causes several of Tigry's charges to activate trapping the two and the Player in the corridor.

Chapter 12: Lab[]

While the Player searches for the cure, Tigry and Willow continue to fight. The two manage to get into the room where the cure is and begin to fight for it.

Savior Ending[]

While trying to get the cure, the Player helps Tigry out by knocking Willow out. Tigry thanks the Player and decides to go with the Player. The two meet Pony at the destroyed corridor. He tells the two that the rest of the members went outside as the elevator isn't on the lab floor. Suddenly, the charges go off. Tigry urges the two to get to the elevator. As they head for the elevator, rubble blocks the way for Tigry. While Tigry was holding the cure, and is now trapped, he can't give the cure to them now. His fate in this is unknown.

Survivor Ending[]

Tigry thanks the Player for helping them defeat Willow. Tigry decides to give the cure to the Player and tells them he won't come with him. He explains that due to travelling to Doveport by himself, he realizes that he prefers to travel along. The two say goodbye and Tigry hopes they cross paths again. It's currently unknown what happened to Tigry but it's possible he got out of the lab safely.

Willow Endings[]

Because Willow knocks Tigry out in these endings, Tigry is left in the lab. It's unknown what happens to him afterwards, but it's possible that after a while, he leaves the place realizing that his quest was failed.

Hidden Ending[]

Tigry and Willow fight over the cure. Willow ends up winning the fight. Wanting to finally have it all end, Tigry tells Willow to finish him off. Suddenly, the Player tries to reason with Willow as to not take her anger on survivors but take her anger on the Infected. Seeing the Player trying to reason with Willow, Tigry tries to tells Willow that they're both alike. He explains to her that they both lost their family and friends. He then says that when they first met, Willow allowed him to speak endlessly on how he felt. He then tells her he wishes they could go back to those times. The conversation is cut off by Mimi, who tells the three to come outside since they're going to want to see it.

The group head outside and notice an Osprey land on the ground outside the outpost. The door opens revealing Sergent Monroe, Tigry's old commander, he explains that he and the military were sent a distress call that was sent by civilians. He then notices Tigry calling him a deserter and calls Willow a criminal. All Tigry can do is look down in shame. The Player breaks the embarrassment by saying they got the cure. Monroe says that it's a shame that of all of the outposts, Outpost Echo was wiped out, explaining as if something or someone tried to stop it.

Suddenly, TIO summons multiple infected from the ground and they rise up. Monroe tells the two soldiers to aim their weapons ready to fight them. Afterwards, the Player, along with Georgie Piggy, Pony and Zee and brought into TIO's mind. It's unknown what happened afterwards. After TIO was defeated, Monroe asked them to hand over the cure so they could make multiple of them. Listening to Tigry's words, Willow apologizes to Tigry for how she treated him. She then explains that due to the Military, possibly not wanting them to be on the Osprey, decides they should travel alone and tells Tigry he can be the leader of it. Tigry accepts her apology but declines the offer as he wanted to have a say. Hearing this, the Player asks the two if it's goodbye. Willow tells the Player that it's never goodbye and wishes them the best of luck of saving their friends.

Aftermath[]

Afterwards, the two say goodbye to the others before the group (excluding Tigry and Willow) get on the Osprey and head back to Lucella. Tigry and Willow decide to head back to Lucella from Willow's tugboat and head back to the Alleys. While walking along a path, Tigry notices an old Military Poster ad giving him flashbacks to when he first joined the Military. Willow tells him he looks as if he's seen a ghost. Tigry replies stating it could be true. Tigry then asks Willow why she's the only one who reached their paw out to him in the Alleys. Willow states that she didn't want to see another animal suffering alone (possibly referencing her past life when her brother ran away). Tigry tells her that he's going to keep asking her the same question until she gives him the real answer. She replies stating that if he does, she'll push him into a nearby bush. The two head back to the Alleys where Tigry's old campfire was and start having a conversation.

Quotes[]

Docks

I'm Tigry. I remember your face. Back at the refinery and factory. You stopped Willow and saved the others.
I guess I owe you an apology. Sorry for trying to hunt you. I was doing what I was told than thinking for myself.
So what are you doing here?
She's... she's not here with you is she?
Oh no... You're on the wrong side, username. She's using you to get to it before me. Isn't it obvious?
You of all people should know this. She's not the type to change. She's putting up a show for her own selfish reasons.
To save an old friend of mine. Just like you. If you join me, I'll help you get your friend back.
You yourself know she can't be trusted anymore than I can be.
My offer still stands. I'll see you around.

Camp

Willow.
I had a feeling you'd show up.
YOU were never going to work in the long run. You're a mess, Willow. You've hurt everyone you've ever gotten close to.
You've been nothing but a bully ever since I met you. There was once a time that I was scared of you. Now, I'm finally going to stand up for myself.
~ Tigry standing up to Willow
It's more than you deserve.
You're about to find out.
There's a lot more to me that you're about to discover.

Lab

Thanks for helping me back there, username.
I honestly don't think I could have knocked her out without you.
Yeah... but since you've decided to help me, it's only fair that I repay you. Take the cure.
I came all this way to save a friend. Little did I know, a new friend would end up saving me. So take it.
Save your thanks.
Tigry Savior
I guess so. You've proven to me that sticking together can be real helpful. Let me grab the cure and let's go.
My charges... we need to get out of here. Get to the elevator!
Tigry Survivor
Coming here made me realize that I prefer travelling alone. Though, we will cross paths again. I'm sure of it.
Hidden Ending
Finish it.
You and I are alike, Willow. We keep our pain buried inside. We both are alone, separated from our friends and family. When we first met, you listened to me. I talked endlessly about how I felt, but you never interrupted, you listened. I wish we could go back to the way things were.
~ Tigry trying to reason with Willow by explaining to her how they're similar
Yeah, no kidding… You hurt me, Willow.
Willow… despite everything you've done, I'm willing to give you another chance. You're family, after all.
Just… don't mess up this time. This is the last chance I'm giving you.
I don't want to be in charge, I just want to have a say.

Breakout

Would it be a lie to say we all feel that way?
Looks like my legs aren't broken, good. Can't see a thing down here...
Phew, I'm good. Guess this is one way in. Let me get my flashlight.
Alright. ... Where'd my weapons go
I'll manage. Try to find another way in if you can.
Ah, my old classroom. Can't say I've missed it.
Huh, this place is new. Haven't been here before.
I always loved driving by the carnival, seeing all the lights and attractions. It was a good reminder that, just out of reach, was a bright world waiting for me.
I've never been on the carnival. We couldn't afford it.
A cart from the carnival? What's this doing here?
My old home... I hear something, I should be careful.
My old house? Why am I here? ... And what's that noise?
Back here again? Haven't I run this course enough already?
Boot camp. I've come a long way from here, haven't I?
I guess you could say that.
Yeah, I wouldn't want to turn out like you.
Hey, Willow... you're one of the only animals to ever have reached their paw out to me. Why?
Are you sure that's why you did it?
I'm just going to keep asking until you give me the real answer.

Referring to Tigry[]

I don't feel very well about that Tiger. I haven't heard him speak once when he he's here.
~ Presuembly someone in The Silver Paw
We have the compound surrounded. Two of my finest soldiers may just be able to catch the enemy off-guard if they're quick enough.
~ A note written by Sergent Monroe
Why'd you run from us?
COME HOME
WE MISS YOU

Trivia[]

  • His soundtrack in Book 1 is an audio called Creepy but slowed down and lower pitched. His Book 2 soundtrack is named after him and is composed by BSlick.
  • He is the only member of TSP to have a hat that is not grey.
  • There is a disconnection between his note and the Heist ending cutscene. In his note, he says Rash was the only TSP member who gave him a chance, however, the Heist ending cutscene reveals Rash got infected before TSP was even formed.
  • Tigry's parents treated him badly based on a note in Refinery and Breakout.
  • In one of the rooms in the Refinery, in the orange key room, Tigry's anxiety pills can be seen in cabinets. This reveals that Tigry had anxiety.
  • The beret and pants he is wearing at Docks is the same as the one he was wearing at Refinery, which could mean that the beret is his, or that he "stole" it.
    • That would explain why he was the only member of The Silver Paw to have that beret.
      • However, it is unknown why Willow allowed him to use it, since normally the uniform beret is gray instead of black. It is likely because he was the principal guard of the Refinery, or it's just a coincidence and just part of the game.
  • MiniToon said he'd like to make a character-focused chapter about Tigry's past, presumably about how and why he deserted the military. This was done when Breakout came out.
