~ The Wolf encouraging Lena to come see him. |
The Wolf, also known by his online alias, Maria, is the titular main protagonist of the YouTube thriller animated short film, Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.
He is a serial killer who seemingly lures sheep to his location to kill them, using their heads as masks while luring his next victims. One day, he makes contact online with a girl named Lena, whom he lures into being his next target.
Personality[]
The Wolf is by all means a literal wolf in sheep's clothing, both metaphorically and physically. He poses as a kind figure online who just simply wants to hang with Lena, but by all means, he is an outright liar and manipulator. He lied about both his name and age, and made up details to just simply lure Lena to his location to presumably kill her. It could easily be assumed that his previous victims were lured similarly.
Biography[]
On one fateful day, the Wolf would put on the mask of a sheep and go online, finding a sheep named Lena. He would message her and tell her that his name was Maria, quickly engaging in conversation with her. He would ask her how old she was, and she would reply saying that she was 16 years old before asking the Wolf how old he was herself. The Wolf would say 18 at first, but would quickly change it saying that he was actually 17 and that his birthday was recent.
The Wolf would begin to ask Lena for her hobbies, and she would respond by saying that she enjoyed video games, though she wasn't allowed to play very often thanks to her parents. Seeing this as an opportunity, the Wolf would claim that he also enjoys games and just bought a new one for his birthday. Claiming he didn't have anyone to play with, he would offer to meet up with Lena on the following Saturday to play the game with her. While Lena was concerned, the Wolf assured her that everything would be fine. The Wolf would give Lena his address, and would agree to see "Maria" then.
After logging off, the Wolf would place the mask he was wearing back onto the wall, beside three other heads. While the short does end, it could easily be assumed that the Wolf did lure Lena to his address and she met the same fate as the four other sheep.

Trivia[]
- While not explicitly confirmed, the Wolf arguably has characteristics of a child predator, given that he chats with a teenage girl and lies about his age to gain her trust.
- The Wolf wearing a sheep's mask is a metaphor of the term in which the short film is named after, "a wolf in sheep's clothing"; people gaining the trust of others by putting on a good facade while in reality, just being outright monsters.
