The Black Heart is the nameless general who acts as the main antagonist in the first two Clear Vision games. His main features consist of his red hat and robotic eye.
Biography[]
Not much is know about the general's early life, but it is known that he used to work for the army. According to SD-6, he was very successful but disappeared one day and no one knew where he went. For thirty years, he had been missing, until sources arose that he had established himself in the Sahara desert and started training young boys to induct them into his organization and turning them into his killing machines as part of Force X25. In his illustrious career, the general would meet his future rival, Jake.
On one fine day, the general arrived with his men to a house on top of a hill. From inside the house, the husband and wife were brought outside and executed on their knees. These two were Jake's parents and a now orphaned Jake was taken in by the general to be trained for his war in the art of sniping. Following his rigorous training, Jake was recruited into his ranks.
In Clear Vision 4, the general appears at the end of Jake's life as a flashback. In the memory, victories, and successful Jake was given an audience with the general due to his major operation successes. The general congratulates the young sniper, but he had one more job before he'd let him go home. Taking him outside, the general ordered him to execute four unarmed prisoners. A concerned Jake asked him what they've done, but the general reported and told him not to ask questions and follow orders. It was presumably this moment that made Jake thirst for revenge.
At some point during Jake's hitman career, he would get an assassination assignment and his target would happen to be the general. Catching him by complete surprise, Jake fires the gun but misses; hitting the general's cigarette instead. Jack would not get another chance and he was forced to flee.
Time passes and the general seems to have gotten comfortable living secluded in his desert area. His tranquil life would come to an end when the general was targeted by SD-6 for an assassination. By fate or coincidence, the person they hired to take him out was Jake.
Arriving at his secret base, Jake set up in a hidden area. He first shot a general's guard to try and get his attention. It worked. A concerned general was watching his camera when suddenly one of his guards fell dead. Rather than stay hidden in his base, he instead chose to escape through the back in a jeep; an angry and vengeful Jake gave chase.
Getting just close enough to his vehicle at a fast speed, Jake shot the general's wheel, which forced him to crash. An injured general started crawling on the ground, try to get away but as soon as Jake caught up with him, he knew it was all over. The general gave Jake a final taunt when he said, "Your father screamed like a pig!". In turn, Jake shot the general in the head, finally getting his revenge.
