But the Eldian Empire invaded countries, raped civilians to get more Subjects of Ymir and used the Titans as weapons of mass destruction. Also, there are villains in the Attack on Titan setting that are Eldians who belong to the Royal Government of Eldia and not to any other subfaction, such as Karl Fritz and Rod Reiss. The Royal Government as a whole (before the first coup de etat) could be considered villanous as they withheld information from the citizens of Paradis for a hundred years and also kept them locked inside the walls. Eldia does have heroic characters, but that doesn't make Eldia a heroic faction.

I agree. Historically, the eldians were d*cks, the Paradis government was, the Yeagerists are as well and even most of the population sucks. Of course not everyone in Eldia is or was evil, but similar to Marley, they should count as villains (with focus on the ancient empire, not the "present" situation on Paradis.--Grizzhly (talk) 23:13, April 9, 2020 (UTC)
There is already an article for King Fritz, but everyone between him and the current heroes are not named. If the past Eldia is considered a villain faction, but the current Eldia is not, or at least has several subfactions. Therefore either Eldia as a whole should be deleted from this wiki or there should be some distinguishing sections for the old Eldia Empire. Everyone in current Eldia (including the likes of Zackly and Rod Reiss) need to be removed from that page as well. Furthermore, while certain Eldians under Fritz's reign helped him pillage and conquer, Marley as a whole is a Nazi regime that extends to its civilians, and they are responsible for the events of the entire series and tragedies faced by the protagonists. Eldia has nothing on Marley's crimes, but I still digress the nation as a whole does not belong. And frankly, I'm a litle sick of people saying Eldia is responsible for all the tragedy of the series while those same people, many of them Nazi sympathizers, will try to portray Marley as "heroes" or "the lesser of two evils". Penguinluver1431 (talk) 23:48, April 9, 2020 (UTC)
Why remove Rod and Zackly? Both are part as the government of Eldia and therefore, they belong to this faction. Also, as I have pointed out, the Royal Government has lied to it's people for a hundred years and took advantage of the population (even sacrificed them to the Titans). Also, you make it seem like the civilians of Mareley portray Marley as the "heroes" or "the lesser of two evils" implying that the civilians of Eldia are not doing the same (it is established that most of the population took the Yeagerist side and view Eren as a saviour). Also, you say that Marley is responsible for the entire plot of AoT and the tragedies that the protagonists face, which is true, in part. Marley became an even worse government than Eldia after it faced centuries of opression and fear under the grasp of the Eldian Titans. If the Eldian Empire never invaded or opressed Marley, they would never be the government that they are today. What they essencially did was to mimick their opressors to now opress them instead and this is pointed out in the manga. Edit: since You base your argument around the idea that "Eldia is not as bad as Marley so it's not considered villanous" (which doesn't discredit Eldia as villanous) and that "The old Eldian Empire was villanous but the current Eldia is not", which is not entirely true considering since the Royal Government has committed villanous deeds and then there is the fact that the Yeagerists took the government and the majority of the Eldian population supports them and shares their ideology. Considering this, the argument shouldn't even be about removing this page from the wiki in it's entirety but rather which events/people should be listed in the article.Lord Maaar (talk) 00:16, April 10, 2020 (UTC)
