Alex Osbourne, more commonly known as Starburns is a major supporting character in the sitcom Community. He is a middle-aged student who attends Greendale.
He was portrayed by Dino Stamatopolous, who also played Cecil Creepler in Moral Orel.
Appearance[]
Starburns shaves his sideburns in the shape of stars, hence the name Starburns. He does not like the name, though still insists on keeping his sideburns like stars. He also adds a hat and a lizard to his outfit to distract from the sideburns.

Early Life[]
Starburns was a drug dealer who attended Greendale for many years. He had a wife named Madga who divorced him, and an unnamed son who was much more successful than his father.
Season One[]
At the Halloween party, He traded his illegal drugs for Pierce's prescribed medications, not realizing what they were. They caused him to have urinary retention. When Annie started dating Vaughn, Starburns started making sexually explicit remarks about her. He brought his son to Greendale for family day. In the first paintball match, he had alliance with Pierce, who betrayed him.
Season Two[]
In Anthropology, he mocked Professor Baur, so she shot a blow dart at his face. He became a zombie on Halloween, before being cured by the military. Starburns helped Ben Chang start a party at Jeff's house, so Chang could sneak in. During the paintball match, he helped battle City College.
Season Three[]
Starburns was originally in Biology 101. When he asked the professor to help him sell drugs, he was kicked out. He was the prime suspect in destroying the Study Group's yam. He told them that he only broke into the biology room to steal lab equipment to make meth. He ran away and faked his death in a car explosion. he provided footage to Abed to make a memorial about him. Starburns "disguised" himself by dying his hair, but still kept his sideburns like stars.
Season Five[]
Starburns was a suspect for being the Ass Crack Bandit. He confessed, but in fact was coerced into confessing and was actually innocent. He was allowed to return to the school. He participated in the game "Hot Lava", and was defeated by Troy and Abed.
Season Six[]
Starburns participated in the illegal paintball game. He fought against Todd, but was shot by Silver Ballz. Frankie expelled him for playing paintball and not helping them with the investigation.
