Santa is a major antagonist in Season 1 of the horror anthology series American Horror Stories. He is a serial killer who dresses as Santa Claus and brutally murders people he deems "naughty".
He was portrayed by Danny Trejo, who also played Johnny 23 in Con Air, El Jefe in xXx, Ox in The Spectacular Spider-Man, Bane in Young Justice, Newtralizer in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012), El Cucuy in Halloween Horror Nights, El Diablo in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run and Stronghold in Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Biography[]
Santa is a brutal serial killer who tortures and murders people he believes to be "naughty". He also murders department store Santas in order to take their place.
"The Naughty List"[]
Santa first meets the "Bro House", fraternity brothers Zinn, Barry, Wyatt, and James, on Christmas Eve, when they come to his mall seeking to redeem their streaming reality show after incurring bad publicity for filming and posting a suicide. They behave obnoxiously toward the children in line and their parents, culminating in Zinn giving Santa a twerking lap dance and propositioning one of the female elves. Santa, enraged, tells the frat boys that they will "get what they deserve" as they run from mall security.
That night, Zinn gets a phone call from the police, who tell him that the man they encountered at the mall was not the man hired as Santa, who has been mutilated and murdered. Shaken, Zinn and the others agree to come to the police station the next morning and tell the police everything they know about the mysterious man.
When Wyatt goes to the refrigerator for a beer, he finds a strange camera attached to it. As he puzzles over it, Santa reaches out of the refrigerator, grabs him by the head, and snaps his neck, killing him. Wyatt's murder is uploaded to the Bro House's YouTube channel seconds later, and the others watch it, confused and horrified. They try to delete it, but it is re-uploaded by an anonymous sender, complete with an article about Santa Claus' origins in an ancient folk tale about a wild man who punishes the wicked.
Now in the Bro House, Santa attacks Zinn, beating him with a club, tying him up with Christmas lights, and throwing him in the pool, electrocuting him and taking out the power inside the house. Once again, the murder is uploaded onto the Internet. James and Barry try to run after finding Zinn's body, but Santa wounds both of them with a crossbow before executing James with an arrow to the head.
Barry manages to get inside the house, and leaves a comment on the video of Zinn's death begging for help; ironically, it is dismissed as a prank. Santa then pours gasoline down the chimney and lights the trail, engulfing the house in flames and killing Barry. Santa then decorates the house's Christmas tree with the decapitated heads of the "Bros".
Santa is last seen at another mall, setting his sights on killing another mall Santa.
