Ostrit is a minor antagonist in the Witcher franchise, serving as a minor antagonist of the first book of The Last Wish series.
He is a Temerian courtier of King Foltest who was in love with her sister Adda of Temeria. After King Foltest organized a wedding where he married his sister and then got pregnant, he decided to take revenge on King Foltest. He is responsible for placing the curse on Foltest's newborn daughter and her sister who turned Striga.
In the adaptations of The Witcher Live Action, Ostrit is played twice, in the Polish adaptation he is played by Andrzej Slabiak and in the Netflix adaptation he is played by Jason Thorpe.
Biography[]
Ostrit has been a courtier and nobleman serving the Temerian Family for several decades, some time during his stay at the court he became the confidant of Princess Adda whom he fell in love with and at times they had an affair. However, the affair with Adda and Ostrit was dissolved when Prince Foltest, organizing a wedding to become king, took Adde as a candidate for marriage. After Foltest chose his sister as wife, he started an incestuous relationship where Adda fell pregnant and only the nobility and soldiers knew about the relationship. Ostrit, disgusted and pissed off, decided to take revenge on Foltestt.
In the course of revenge, Ostrit found the renegade mage and asked the system to impose a powerful curse on Foltest and Adda's unborn child. After placing a curse on Adda and Foltest's newborn daughter, Adda and her daughter died as a result of the curse, and after Foltest's funeral, she died her daughter with the same name as her sister.
