Old Blind Pete is a supporting antagonist in the webcomic The Order of the Stick, appearing in the Don't Split The Party arc. He is a former sniper for the Greysky City Thieves' Guild who shelters Haley Starshine and her party while the Guild is looking for them; however, he soon betrays them in order to get his sight back.

Pete was a sniper for the Thieves' Guild nicknamed "Eagle-Eyed Pete" due to his prowess. He was warned about this nickname by a friend known as "Appendix Steve", who pointed out that anybody named after a body part tended to lose it if they crossed the Guild, hence why he chose "Appendix" as his nickname; however, Pete refused to heed his warning. This proved to be a mistake when he was caught selling secrets to the Guild's rivals and Guildmaster Bozzok had his eyes put out. He once payed a fortune to a rogue Cleric of Loki he knew to have his eyes regenerated before attempting to flee to Anywhere, but only made it halfway before Guild enforcer Crystal caught up to him and blinded him again.

Don't Split The Party[]

Ex-Guild member Haley Starshine approaches Pete for help hiding from the Guild alongside the sylph Celia and Belkar Bitterleaf. Pete agrees and allows them to take refuge in his basement, which is protected from magical spying and teleportation. He also agrees to call the Cleric of Loki to heal Belkar, who is seriously ill due to a Mark of Justice placed on him being activated. Crystal, looking for Haley, knocks on Pete's door and interrogates him, but he simply says he "hasn't seen her" because "Crystal never lets what she knows get in the way of her job".

Pete calls the Cleric, only to contact the Guild and inform them that he has the fugitives they're looking for and the rogue cleric, another Guild enemy. Bozzok agrees to let him go to a nearby Guild-controlled temple and regenerate his eyes, before attacking his house with the intent of killing Haley.

During the battle, Pete returns to his house after regaining his eyesight and demands to be let in, assuming he'll be able to reach a hiding place before any of Haley's party find him. He is soon proven wrong when a fully-healed Belkar kills the Guild members guarding the door and stabs Pete in the foot for betraying them. Belkar tells him that he's going to leave him at the mercy of his former friend the Cleric of Loki before running off to fight Bozzok and Crystal. Pete attempts to convince the cleric that he came back to help him escape, but the cleric doesn't believe him and nicknames him "Brainy Pete" before killing him with a mace and presumably removing his brain.
