Mr. Rude is one of the main characters in The Mr. Men Show. As his name suggests, he is a rude man with bad manners. His main running gag is saying "I'll give you (something)", before farting, causing everyone else to yell his name. Despite mostly being just a jerk, he has sometimes done villainous things.
He was voiced by Joey D'Auria, credited as Joseph Terry, who also voiced Alister Azimuth in Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time.
Appearance[]
Mr. Rude's design in the 2008 cartoon is quite similar to his book counterpart, except he does not have a top hat; Instead, he wears brown shoes, has three short hair pieces on his head as well as having brown nose with lines on the bottom.
Personality[]
Mr. Rude is similar to his book counterpart in-that he is obviously a rude person, however compared to his original version, who just made rude comments at people, this version has a more callus personality, showing disregard for the law and even people's lives at times. Despite this, he usually only makes rude comments beyond sarcastic statements when people annoy him. When he gets irritated enough or just to be rude, he will repeat a word someone said as "I'll give you [X]!" and fart.

Trivia[]
- His book version, while more openly rude to people, doesn't count as a villain due to him not committing any crimes.
- He is one of the few characters to keep his American voice in the British dub.
- Surprisingly, Mr. Rude is not as bad as Mr. Stubborn. For one, Mr. Rude, despite his rudeness, has some redeeming qualities, such as being smarter and even somewhat kinder than Stubborn. Second, Mr. Rude has his intelligent and smart points, meaning that Mr. Rude isn't wrong. Like Mr. Grumpy, he's somewhat easy to please, and like Mr. Grumpy, Mr. Rude is a very firm believer in aliens and monsters, as in his quote "I come in peace. He's just here to annoy". In addition, his farts do have some beneficial purposes, as for one, he managed to fix Miss Daredevill and Miss Helpful's hot air balloon by farting inside it, causing it to go up in the air. The second, more heroic act, is that he used his farts to scare away the Alien Space Pirates and save Mr. Happy and Mr. Tickle from being thrown out into space, and he was hailed as a saviour by them, and as his reward, Mr. Tickle tickled him.
