Mala-Khan is the main antagonist of the 1998 animated direct-to-video film The Secret of Mulan.
He was voiced by the late Lionel G. Wilson, who also played Eustace Bagge in the Courage the Cowardly Dog series.
Biography[]
Mala-Khan serves as an evil conqueror of China. When he has a declaration of war, the Emperor orders all able-bodied males to fight. Mulan disguises herself as Hua and leaves home to take her elderly father's place in the Emperor's army, she proves to be a capable warrior and quickly rises through the ranks with each winning battle.
Starting to panic with each loss, Mala-Khan finds a treacherous traitor in the Emperor's ranks to take Mulan away illegally by force. However, when she matures into her pupa stage, she is mistakenly assumed to have escaped, she returns as a butterfly to the Emperor's camp where she romances her authoritative prince.
Personality[]
Mala-Khan is a cruel and oppressive tyrant who plans to conquer China. He is also shown to be competitive when he starts to fight with Mulan.
Appearance[]
Mala-Khan is an anthropomorphic beetle. He has pale skin, orange eyes, four arms, and long fangs resembling pincers. He wears gold armor with a blue trim, a gold helmet, a purple tunic, a maroon sash, orange fingerless gloves, and blue shoes. He also has blue elytra and a light blue abdomen.
