Lauren Ackerman is the main antagonist in the first season episode "iHave a Love Sick Teacher" of the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly.
She was portrayed by Jessica Makinson, who also voiced Heidi Turner, Paris Hilton and Henrietta Biggle in South Park.
Biography[]
After her boyfriend breaks up with her, Lauren spent the first part of her class crying before Carly goes to check on her. She snaps at Carly to sit down and became unnecessarily cruel to her students. After yelling at Freddie, Carly stands up to her, resulting in a parent teacher conference between Lauren and Carly's brother and guardian Spencer. During the conference, Lauren breaks down in tears again and Spencer comforts her, letting her vent about her relationship troubles.
After that, Lauren and Spencer start dating and she begins to act normal again, treating her students to special treats and even inviting them to skip class to go ice skating with her and Spencer. But soon, Lauren begins to be possessive of Spencer, asking him where he was at all times and snapping at him due to believing he's lying to her. Disturbed, Spencer breaks up with her, but she believes he didn't mean it until she came to his apartment the next day and Spencer clearly states that he wants to end their relationship. Furious, Lauren rips up a stuffed animal she made for Spencer before storming out of the apartment. At school, she gives out a surprise pop quiz worth a large portion of the students' grade and automatically gives Carly's quiz an F out of spite. When Carly tries to reason with Lauren, she forces her to do 100 jumping jacks. When Freddie and Sam stand up for Carly, she forces Freddie to join in jumping jacks and Sam to wash her car. The gang think about forcing Spencer to start dating Lauren again before coming up with another plan.
They have Lauren and Spencer on iCarly, where they have Lauren mention how she bought Spencer a "PearPod" and downloaded 500 songs off the Internet onto it. Afterwards, they run a poll on their website to see if their viewers want Lauren and Spencer to break up or not. They vote for them not to get back together and Lauren snarls that she hates Spencer (and the Internet) before storming out. The next day, as Lauren prepares to assign her class a massive amount of homework for the weekend and have them write a 1,000 word essay, the FBI burst into the room and arrest Lauren for illegally downloading music off the Internet (having been called ahead of time by Carly to watch Lauren's confession on the web show). She was never seen again, so it’s implied that she was sent to jail and spent the rest of the series incarcerated.
