The teacher of Kaede Seto is the overarching antagonist of the coming of age manga Sensitive Boy, written and illustrated by 46. She is the archenemy of Kaede Seto, being his former teacher and rapist who is indirectly responsible for the events of the series.

Appearance[]

In the past, the trainee teacher wore a dark-colored jacket and skirt. She also had a buttoned-up white dress shirt underneath the jacket. The teacher has short black hair which was initially well-groomed. When she reunites with Kaede, she now wore a fuzzy, gray tracksuit with the collar zipped all the way up. Her hair also appeared more unkempt likely as a result of the downfall of her career. Another noticeable trait is her eyes: what were once huge and bright had receded into small dots once more enhancing her deluded, wrathful personality. In addition to this, she no longer wore lipstick.

Overall, as a result of her own actions and the subsequent punishment she received, the trainee teacher let her looks go.

Personality[]

She was once one of the most popular teachers in middle school with many students liking her because of her charm and beauty. However, she was truly a perverted woman who raped her student when he tried to console her. After being blacklisted from every school and registering as a sex offender, she had since dropped that facade becoming resentful and petty.

The teacher also harbors narcissistic tendencies. Rather than accepting that it was her own actions that resulted in her losing her chances of becoming a teacher, she instead blames Kaede for all her misgivings. In fact, she takes several attempts to justify her behavior by insisting that Kaede enjoyed the encounter despite evidence to the contrary. Worse, she tries to victimize herself than take accountability.

It should also be noted that, during the flashback, she mentions acting like an adult meaning that her psychopathic demeanor was her true self that she tried hiding until she got fired.

Back when Kaede was a third year student in middle school, he met the trainee teacher who initially came off as charming and friendly. Noting that he worked in the studies committee, she befriends him hoping that he would show her the ropes. Nothing sinister would happen between the two at least until that day. When a faculty member had neglected one of the sheets pertaining to checking the PE equipment inventory, Kaede goes to retrieve it. As he was heading towards the storage room, he spotted the trainee teacher crying to herself after apparently being scolded by another teacher.

Kaede tried to console her, but the teacher takes advantage of his kindness and decides to "make him an adult" before the rest of his classmates. Despite Kaede clearly showing fear and not consenting, the teacher forces herself on him and rapes him. His friends Izumi and Asahi would later find him. As a result of her crime, the trainee teacher would be justly punished and blacklisted from teaching due to her criminal record.

Kaede was traumatized by the experience and convinced himself that he was "broken." He would suffer PTSD fits should a girl unwittingly trigger it, but at the same time, he wanted a girlfriend because he believed that he needed one to be "normal." Additionally, the teacher's actions were the main reason why Kaede had to be transferred to an all-boys school.

Three years after the events in middle school, the teacher would resurface when she spots Kaede at a convenience store. Her hatred for the young man feeling as hot as it did back then, she slips out a pocket knife and tries to kill him. However, Tsubasa would intervene, resulting in a nasty cut on her arm.

The teacher angrily rants at Kaede over how she was unable to become an official teacher because of him, going as far as to accuse Kaede as having enjoyed the "wonderful experience", unwilling to admit that it was her own actions that caused her life to fall apart. Tsubasa and Kaede both refute the woman's accusations and she is tackled to the ground before she could grab the pocket knife. It can be assumed that she was arrested as a result.
