George Knight Jr. also known as Junior Knight is one of the main characters in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, serving as one of the main protagonists in 2024 and the secondary antagonist in 2025.
Junior is the son of George Knight, the brother of Gina and Anna Knight and the father of Xavier Knight.
He is portrayed by Micah Balfour.
Biography[]
Junior is first mentioned during 2023 in a conversation between his father, George and Phil Mitchell. He first appears during May 2024 after his estranged sister, Anna reaches out and informs him of George's fighting addiction after the passing of Gloria Knight, Junior's grandmother.
Junior arrives to one of George's fights and places himself as his dad's opponent. Junior is open to the chance of fighting his dad due their history, however George walks off into the changing room where Junior confronts him, still not over the fact his father abandoned him as a child. The pair form a truce and head for the exit, where Rufus confronts the father and son over leaving the arena. Rufus allows Junior to leave, but threatens George in the process, stating he "bottled it." Junior then poses as if he agrees with Rufus' threats towards his father. Junior punches Rufus, sending him flying with a single punch before Rufus' gang step in to fight them.
George and Junior defeat Rufus and his gang, then later head to the Vic. Junior meets Elaine before leaving and entering the local nightclub, where he meets Bianca Jackson, who he later spends the night with. Junior leaves Bianca's house before it's revealed he has a wife, Monique and a son, Xavier. The family leave Walford as Junior sets his eyes on the Vic. Junior returns to Walford to spend time with his sisters, much to George's excitement. However, his one-night stand with Bianca is exposed and Monique is left with no choice but to leave for Dubai with their son.
Junior later begins an affair with Cindy Beale. Junior later grows feelings for Cindy, but the feelings aren't mutual and both facts are revealed on Christmas day. Junior is left heartbroken and his fixed relationship with George is ruined. Junior is left all alone with no family or friends, he returns home where he calls Cindy after the reveal. Later after his call, Cindy is attacked. Residents and police arrive on the scene, Denise Fox later spots Junior hiding in the alley opposite Beale's Eels. Both share a glare before Junior rushes off the scene. As the new year begins, the blame is pointed directly at Junior as the prime suspect.
