Well, security in these buildings is pretty tight, so people like this feel nice and secure living way up here. I mean, these people just had a simple chain lock on their door. I guess they wanna have a good look at the pizza guy before they open it all the way... That's why I brought the bolt cutters. He opens the door this much, there's a chain right there, I slip them in and snip. And guess what? It's not the pizza guy!
~ Jordi's most famous line.
Choose a job you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life
~ Jordi Chin.

Jordi Chin is a major character in the Watch Dogs video game franchise.

He is an eccentric Fixer (gun-for-hire) who works for Aiden Pearce and assists the vigilante in kidnapping and interrogating Maurice Vega for information regarding who ordered the hit on his family. Despite helping Pearce, Jordi is a morally dubious character with very few scruples. His deceitful nature is later proven when he betrays Aiden at the end of the game.

He returns in the Watch Dogs 2 DLC, Human Conditions, where he hunts a Bratva official for assassination and is assisted by DedSec member; Marcus Holloway.

He is voiced by Aaron Douglas, who also played The Turtle in The Flash, Pierce in Smallville and voiced Adam Kane in Dead Rising 3.

Official Description[]

"When you’re screwed beyond belief, you call in a fixer. And that’s Jordi. He gets things done and gets paid good money for his services. You need a body to disappear? You gotta find a missing adversary? Someone pissed you off? You call Jordi."

Watch Dogs[]

Jordi appears in the first mission underneath the baseball stadium, where he stabs a gang member to prevent him from shooting Aiden. He reveals that he got rid of Aiden's bullets before the latter went to interrogate Maurice, and Jordi is disappointed that Aiden ended up knocking the man out, but then reveals that he called the police to give them a distraction (much to Aiden's dismay).

Jordi proceeds to take Maurice out of the stadium and hold him for further interrogation. Jordi then introduces Aiden to an app that can allow him to obtain pre-owned cars, and leaves one in a garage for Aiden's escape.

Further along the game, Jordi interrogates Maurice for more information. At one point, Maurice tries to escape but Jordi prevents this and is forced to move him. He asks Aiden to do a driving job for him, which involves transporting a wanted fugitive, Aiden takes up the offer and it ends up being a job for the Chicago South Club and Lucky Quinn.

Aiden is angered that Jordi took a job from him, but the fixer simply states that a paycheck is a paycheck and that Aiden has to focus on the money and not the morals. He also informs Aiden that Maurice was moved successfully.

Later on, Jordi informs that an incarcerated gang member named Raul Lionzo (the one that Jordi stabbed), is being coerced into revealing that Aiden was the one who caused the shootout at the stadium. He provides Aiden sniper support so the latter can interrogate Lance Brenner and stop the prison transfer.

Jordi then contacts a man inside the prison to smuggle Aiden his phone and baton after the latter entered under the identity of an assailant called "Joe Smith".

In one mission, Jordi provides Aiden with some explosives (sticky bombs), in exchange for Aiden to dispose of an ice cream truck containing the bodies of two men Jordi had killed after an attempt on his life. Aiden reluctantly does so, and blows up the truck with the explosives.

Jordi later provides Aiden sniper support when the latter infiltrates Rossi-Fremont to steal Iraq's blackmail. Iraq's men end up stopping Jordi, but the fixer manages to overpower them and escape.

Jordi then appears in the final mission on the lighthouse where Aiden went to confront Damien. Jordi informs Aiden that there's been a change of contract and holds him at gunpoint. Aiden surrenders his gun, but Jordi demands that he hands over his phone as well. Aiden then hacks the lighthouse light to malfunction and explode, which allows the vigilante to overpower Jordi and kill Damien. Jordi contacts Aiden afterwards, saying that he dropped Maurice off at a garage and allows Aiden to choose Maurice's fate, where the player can either kill or spare him.

Watch Dogs Bad Blood[]

While Jordi does not appear in Bad Blood, two fixers mention him during one of the missions saying that Jordi is lying low for a while.

Watch Dogs 2: Human Conditions[]

Ah, you're not the pizza guy.
~ Jordi upon seeing Marcus.

Jordi appears in the sequel's DLC; Human Conditions. He first appears when watching Marcus Holloway leave the Streamer Building, as well as making a reference to the previous game. Jordi confronts Marcus investigating his vehicle and the two get into a brief fight before Jordi holds the hacker at gunpoint, revealing a Bratva goon that the fixer murdered. Marcus ends up misleading him to Pier 13 stating that's where the Bratva are taking refuge. Jordi leaves after intimidating Marcus by reversing his car over the Bratva man.

Jordi later tracks Marcus back to the game shop after finding out that the hacker lied to him and threatens to murder everyone there. Marcus ends up convincing him that they should work together, and the latter drives him to the Crystal Springs dam. After arriving there, Jordi provides Marcus sniper support and causes explosions, all while the latter infiltrates the dam and finds that Anton Bagdonov is on a luxury yacht where the stolen data is being sent.

After arriving at the pier, Jordi and Marcus meet again and they both infiltrate the yacht in order to do what they must, with Marcus wanting to recover the stolen medical records and Jordi wanting to make an "example" by killing Anton. While on the yacht, Jordi kills most of the Bratva there before infiltrating the data room and beating Anton to a pulp before snapping his neck.

Marcus successfully recovers the malware key for the hospitals, but Jordi shoots the camera and the police arrive. Marcus escapes on a boat before Jordi contacts him saying that the opportunity came up and that he's an opportunist. Jordi warns Marcus not to try and find him before saying goodbye to the hacker. With this, Marcus and the rest of DedSec are assured that the Bratva won't try to take revenge upon them after all the carnage that Jordi caused.

Personality[]

You gotta start separating the morals from the moolah.
~ Jordi's moral ambiguity.

Charismatic and intelligent. Jordi shows to be an eccentric man with a flippant sense of humour and playful way of explaining things, which directly contrasts to that of Aiden's steely and pragmatic attitude. His funny personality however, bellies that of an immoral sociopath who is fully willing to murder and harm others all for the sake of profit. According to Aiden, Jordi's principles change with the price, which is a good description of his opportunistic and deplorable personality. He was perfectly willing to dispose of Maurice and be done with him if Aiden hadn't paid the fixer to keep him alive. On top of this, Jordi has a belief that Aiden owes him a lot for the services that he provides, something that Aiden disagrees with.

Despite his immorality, Jordi does demonstrate some sentiment towards Aiden by warning the vigilante that he has made an enemy of everyone, and advised him to leave Chicago before everyone sets their sights to kill him. While knowing that Aiden would more than likely ignore this warning, Jordi did admit that he thought he'd at least try.

At the end of the game however, Jordi was still willing to betray Pearce after a supposed change of contract (which is assumed to be Blume), showing that Jordi was still willing to murder Aiden despite their previous interactions together, and that he allies with whoever pays him right. However, Jordi still contacted Aiden and allowed him to decide Maurice's fate, proving that he did have enough respect for Aiden to handle it his way. Although it could have just been to avoid attracting more attention to himself through killing Maurice.

In Watch Dogs 2, Jordi shows to be far more violent and unhinged, which might be a result of him having to go into hiding. On the other hand, this might be more of his true personality showing while he isn’t interacting with a client. While he is still rather humorous, his dangerous attitude flashes through much more frequently, and his knack for violence has skyrocketed.

This is shown when he threatens Marcus' life just to locate the man he wanted to kill, and undermined Marcus trying to free the hospitals from the Bratva's ransomware. Even afterwards, Jordi still tried to leave Markus to get arrested by the police, saying that leaving him as the culprit would be the icing on the cake scenario. He also warned Marcus not to try and find him, and that he's often much less friendly.

Trivia[]

  • A picture of Jordi can be found on Aiden's wall in his Owl Motel room, with notes written next to it that read; "TO CONTACT; FIXER #9; TRUST?".
  • When profiled in the main game, all of Jordi's information comes up as "NO RECORD". This indicates that he may have been meddling with cTOS to keep his identity secret. It is also possible that Jordi illegally immigrated to Chicago, which would explain why the cTOS system has no information on him.
  • After finishing the first game, Jordi's car app will still be available. However his associate will contact Aiden instead of him, due to Jordi being busy.
  • It is indicated in the second game that Jordi has a psychiatrist.
