Flak is the Black Hole CO tasked with invading Orange Star and a supporting antagonist in the video game, Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. Of the five Black Hole COs, Flak is the lowest in rank. His brash spirit and few restraints quickly make him the rival of Orange Star's CO, Max.
In Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, he was voiced by SungWon "ProZD" Cho, who also voiced Eagle in the same game, Mordecai Heller and Keun Sup.
Biography[]
Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising[]
Flak was initially a low-ranking soldier in Black Hole until he received a promotion from Hawke.
During Black Hole's second attack on the nations of the Wars World, Flak was ordered by Sturm to invade Orange Star. He quickly becomes motivated to conquer Orange Star when he sees two of their COs are women. However, his forces are defeated and he is forced to retreat.
Advance Wars: Dual Strike[]
Though he does not play a role in the story mode, Flak appears a purchasable CO. In the story proper, Flak's role as the "brute" of Black Hole is taken by Jugger, leading many to speculate that the latter is a roboticized version of the former.

Trivia[]
- Flak's powers are meant to mimic the Devil Axe from Fire Emblem (shares same devs as Advance Wars), a weapon that will either inflict large amounts of damage or backfire on its user. Also; in Fire Emblem, axes were favored by Pirates and/or Brigands, who were usually early game enemies, much like Flak being the main enemy CO of Advance Wars 2's early campaign.
- Flak's helmet appears to be based on a combination of the German helmets from the two World Wars.
- His red visors are quite similiar to ones Bask Om from Zeta Gundam has.
