Dora Knight is a knight-themed Dora Monster of the Bandora Gang and the main antagonist of the 15th episode of Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.
He was voiced by Atsuo Mori who previously voiced Obular Brain and Bomber Brain in Choujuu Sentai Liveman, Twisted Bōma, Great Jaw Bōma, Dogu Bōma and Heinous Bōma in Kousoku Sentai Turboranger, Hammer Chameleon in Choujin Sentai Jetman and later voiced Dora Unicorn also in Zyuranger and Bara Madillo in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger.
Biography[]
After many plans to kill the Zyurangers fail, Bandora wants to create a weapon that will make a Dora Monster completely unstoppable. As such, she kidnaps a blacksmith's son named Shigeru forge an indestructible sword named Durandal with help from Pleprechaun, Bookback and Totpat before Pleprechaun creates Dora Knight who claims the weapon. When Shigeru's sister Ritsuko traces him to the quarry and Goushi follows, Bandora confronts him with her minions and Dora Knight so Goushi morphs only to be defeated as Durandal can reflect back energy and cripple the Legendary Weapons. Even when the other Zyurangers arrive, they are completely overwhelmed with even the Babel Attack being useless so Bandora enlarges him to more effectively destroy the Zyurangers. The Rangers summon Daizyuzin but even that is no match for Dora Knight with the God Horn being crippled and the being wiped out. However, a vengeful Shigeru enters Daizyuzin's cockpit and it is revealed that Durandal cannot harm its creator and just stops in mid-air. With Dora Knight helpless, Daizyuzin steals Durandal's energy to regain its power and destroy the dark sword with the God Horn. Helpless, Dora Knight is swiftly killed by the Legendary Thunderslash.
As Burai's final hours of life approach, the Zyurangers try to find a solution whilst recalling many of thier previous battles such as Goushi's fight against Dora Knight.
Dora Knight is later recalled by Goushi as he and the other Zyurangers travel to Heaven with Barza after sealing away the Bandora Gang once again.
Personality[]
Dora Knight was a brutal and violent fighter completely loyal to Bandora. He was also a completely silent and menacing creature that never spoke aside from yells and grunts.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: Dora Knight was able to take down the Zyurangers with single slashes from his sword and easily threw back the combined Babel Attack after just a moment of struggle.
- Durability: Due to being made up of armour, Dora Knight took several slashes from Goushi's Mammothbreaker and Daizyuzin's God Horn without being fazed.
- Agility: Dora Knight could duck and dodge all over the place, easily defeating Goushi with his superior agility.
- Super Jumps: Dora Knight could jump about 30 foot into the air judging by how high he and Goushi leapt into the air in relation to the hills behind them.
Weaknesses[]
- Weapon Forger: Despite being seemingly indestructible, Durandal would not strike its forger; just stopping in mid-air and refusing to move which allowed the Zyurangers to defeat the Dora Monster.
Arsenal[]
- Durandal: Dora Knight wielded a massive long sword which was almost indestructible and virtually unstoppable.
- Weapon Damaging: Dora Knight could cripple his enemies' weapons just by running his sword#s blade along it, rendering them useless.
- Energy Blasts: Dora Knight could fire red energy beans from his sword which was powerful enough to take down all five Zyurangers.
- Shield: Dora Knight wielded a nigh indestructible shield that he could use to block attacks.
- Attack Reflection: Dora Knight could throw back energy attacks using his shield as shown when he did this with the Babel Attack.
- Mace: Attached to Dora Knight's shield was a mace that he could launch at his enemies to entangle them.
