Ana DeCobray, also known as Baroness, is the secondary antagonist of the 2021 action film Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, a spin-off film of the G.I. Joe film series. She is a powerful terrorist and an elite member of COBRA, also an ally of Kenta. She is based on her original counterpart.
She is portrayed by Úrsula Corberó. who is known as Tokyo in Money Heist.
History[]
Baroness was an old friend of G.I. Joe member Scarlett, who had been tracking her activities ever since she became a Cobra. She is known to have been linked to many terrorist acts and involved in bombings, assassinations and civil unrest. Her most notorious crime was killing a member of parliament along with 200 civilians on the same train in order to influence an election.
In Snake Eyes, she and Kenta plot to destroy the Arashikage Clan and steal their magical artifact, the Jewel of the Sun; Kenta hires Snake Eyes for the job. Snake Eyes tells them he didn't sign up to work for terrorists, but Baroness tells him it is too late to have a conscience. Kenta and Baroness remind Snake Eyes that they will give him the location of Mr. Augustine if he brings them the Jewel. After he leaves, Kenta tells the Baroness to trust him that Snake Eyes will do as he is told. Baroness threatens to kill both him and Snake Eyes if that does not happen.
After Snake Eyes completes his job, Kenta and Baroness prepare to attack the Arashikage Clan, now that they possess the Jewel of the Sun. However, Kenta betrays the Baroness, who then agrees to an alliance with Scarlett. Combining forces with the Arashikage Clan, they help defeat Kenta. Storm Shadow, a member of the clan, is banished afterwards. Baroness then recruits him into Cobra.
