Archbishop Saw, also known as High Priest Saw, is a Senate Level member of the Gorma Tribe and the main antagonist of episodes 7 and 8 of Gosei Sentai Dairanger.
He was portrayed by Ulf Ōtsuki, who previously played Professor Hastler in Daitetsujin 17 and Abdad in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya.
History[]
Archbishop Saw was the one who corrupted the original RyuuRanger into joining the Gorma Tribe, luring him to defect and betray his teammates with the promise of power.
Archbishop Saw first arrived with Iron Face Chouryuu to combat the Dairangers after the Gorma Triumvirate's continued failures to defeat them. Choryuu managed to defeat three of the Dairangers but hesitated to kill Ryo after realizing he was his son, leading Saw to punish him for letting him go.
After Ryo went to confront Saw and Choryuu, Saw tortured him in front of his father with his magic until Choryuu turned against him and struck him several times, seemingly killing him. However, Saw managed to survive by revealing his monster form and growing giant, only to be killed by the Dairangers in Dairen'oh.
