Alan and his cast of actors arrive on the island.
Alan's former love interest and one of his actors, Val.
Alan and the others head through the forest to the island's cottage.
Alan makes Jeff and Paul carry a chest containing something important for tonight's plans.
At the cottage which they find boarded up from the inside, Alan reveals the island's backstory and his intention to raise the dead from the graveyard scene from earlier where criminals were buried using a book of magic incitation spells and a special ritual.
Alan orders Jeff and Paul to dig up a corpse to use to begin the ritual, unknowingly which is the same coffin the two figures had messed with earlier.
It's revealed the figures from earlier were apart of a dark joke set up by Alan and the two are actually Roy and Emmerson, two more actors from his theater group who had arrived an hour prior to them.
Oriville is set in position for the ritual as the test subject.
Alan looking annoyed and frustrated when the ritual initially fails as he mocks Satan for the book of spells being a sham.
Val mockingly jokes at Alan and she does her own incitation much more dramatically and over the top with murmuring which the others find very amusing except Alan.
Alan deciding he is unhappy with how things went, he decides to take Orville's corpse back to the cottage to mess with and joke around with the others as he orders Roy and Emmerson to rebury the coffin and a nearby corpse that had been uplifted from the ground.
Alan and the others arrive back at the cottage with Orville's body.
Alan begins to mock Oriville as he stages an arranged and jokingly wedding between him and the corpse.
Quickly, the others, especially Anya, become uncomfortable with Oriville's presence.
Soon Anya begins to freak out and apologizes to the corpse which creeps the others out when she begins to whimper after stating Oriville responded negatively to the apology.
Oriville being carried upstairs.
The others force Alan to put the corpse in the upstairs bedroom and they finally decide to leave even if Alan fires them for their actions. Alan is left upstairs alone with the lifeless corpse where he continues his joke as he confides in him about the others.
Emmerson attempting to flee the graveyard.
Emmerson collides into a zombie and is eaten alongside the caretaker.
Back the house, just as the others plan to leave, a wounded Roy returns and collapses as the others see the now horde of zombies quickly approaching the cabin as they push them back and head inside for refuge.
Things go south quickly as Roy succumbs to his wounds, Paul attempts to get help with the group posing as a distraction to the dead only for him to get attacked and killed by a female zombie that was around back.
Terry can't stand to see Paul's death but fails to notice the oncoming attackers and is dragged out and eaten alive.
The remaining four including Alan attempt to do a reverse ritual to send the zombies away but find they cannot do it as it requires them to return Oriville to his grave, which seems unlikely to happen. Alan recites the spell anyway and they seemingly go away.
Alan betrays Anya in the face of death and willingly hands her over to the zombies to buy himself more time as she is carried off and devoured as the other zombies continue their pursuit of him.
Alan locking himself in the bedroom but forgetting that is where he had left Orville's body.
Alan attempting and failing to push Oriville away.
Alan seeing Oriville smirk evilly as the zombies break through the door and devour him alongside Oriville as he screams out in pain and agony killing him.
