Adamaï is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Amalia) of the French animated TV series Wakfu, later serving as a major antagonist in Season 3.
He is the brother of Yugo and one of the twelve children of the Great Goddess Eliatrope who was previously a member of his brother’s group the Brotherhood of the Tofu and a defender of the World of Twelve who helped defeat several villains only to later betray his brother after a falling out and joined Oropo before becoming good again.
He was voiced by Dorothee Pousseo as a child and Jeremy Prévost as an adult in the French version while being voiced by Joanna Ruiz and Cristina Vee as a child and by Todd Haberkorn as an adult in the English dub.
History[]
Background[]
Adamaï was one of the twelve children of the Eliatrope Goddess after she was impregnated by the Great Dragon. Adamaï and his brothers and sisters were the rulers of the combined Eliatrope and Dragon people with Adamaï and Yugo being described as adventurers and protectors but were actually the current kings after succeeding their brother Chibi. After meeting a race called the Mechasms, a war started after their other brother Qilby supposedly stole the Mechasm leader Orgonax’s heart and created a device called the Eliacube which they would use to flee the ruined planet with Yugo and Adamaï later dying sometime during the second war against Orgonax with their younger sister Nora handing over their Dofus to Grougaloragran for safekeeping during the next few thousand years. While Yugo was given to an Enutrof named Alibert, Adamaï stayed with Grougaloragran on Oma Island until he met his brother and helped him with stopping the Xelor Nox.
Villainous Role[]
Wakfu: Season 2[]
In the second season, Adamaï is still a protagonist but the more negative aspects of his personality are shown. He first expresses his disappointment towards Yugo for not telling him anything since he was worried and says that the Dofus and Eliacube rightfully belong to the Eliatrope race despite how much the Sadida and almost all the other races of the World of Twelve showed their gratitude to the brothers and their friends for previously defeating Nox. After Qilby is accidentally freed, Adamaï becomes something of a pupil to his elder brother while taking care of the reborn Grougaloragran much to his dismay, Adamaï later accompanies Qilby, Joris, Armand and King Sheran Sharm to a meeting with the leaders of each respective race and is angered when the Prince of Brakmar snidely yet also truthfully insinuates that the Eliatropes’ powers might be too dangerous in the future before the meeting ends. Days later, Qilby meets up with Adamaï again after having stolen back the Eliacube and convinces Adamaï to run away with him to the Zinith. Later onboard the Zinith, Adamaï talks with Qilby and brings up Nox at one point before he discovers the latter’s collection of specimens and Qilby’s true intentions. After being defeated by Qilby, Adamaï gets possessed by Anathar after the former presents him to Rushu and nearly kills Phaeris as part of Qilby’s plan while under Anathar’s control before he breaks free and tells Yugo to go stop Qilby. After Qilby and Rushu are defeated, Adamaï flies back home on Phaeris with Yugo and their friends.
OVA: The Mount of the Dragons[]

Wakfu: Season 3[]
In the third season Adamaï reappears serving the Eliotrope Oropo with it being revealed that he obtained a more powerful adult form by absorbing the Six Dofus while having doubts about Oropo’s plan. He first appears with Poo and Toxine when they attack the Percedal family with him attacking Dally while telepathically making Yugo watch before Percedal is joined by Elely as they both seemingly fall to their deaths with him scolding Poo before leaving.
Personality[]
Adamaï was previously a well-meaning and kind Dragon who was protective and loving towards his brother and had a decent relationship with their friends, he was also appalled by his brother Qilby’s betrayal thousands of years ago and his desire to drain the Wakfu of the World of Twelve just to leave to explore the Krosmoz. However, after being told stories about his family and people throughout the years, Adamaï slowly became arrogant and couldn’t care less if Percedal sacrificed his life to defeat Ogrest which showed how loyal he was to his people but how less he cared for the races of the World of Twelve. After Yugo took the Dofus by force, Adamaï went to join Lady Echo and Oropo’s group while becoming a petty, hateful, vindictive, ruthless and sadistic monster who even suggested that the Brotherhood should be killed to Oropo including Dally’s children, after Oropo’s betrayal, Adamaï slightly went back to his old self and rejoined his brother and friends.
