Frank Bolesz is a corrupt prison guard and a former ally of The Joker. He first appeared as a major antagonist in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- Even before he worked with the Joker, Boles was extremely arrogant and sarcastic with a violent temper. He even believed himself to be the best guard in the asylum. Because of his behavior, many inmates were brought back injured, and he was also suspended twice for drinking on the job. It’s mentioned that Boles was very lecherous to the female staff, as noted by Doctors, Sarah Cassidy and Gretchen Whistler.
- He became Joker’s inside man at the asylum and Boles frequently let him out of his cell to torture the unfortunate Jason Todd.
- He assists Joker in orchestrating a hostile breakout in the asylum by leaking the security codes to Harley Quinn, allowing her to infiltrate the asylum and get access to the surveillance cameras. This directed resulted in the deaths of hundreds of his colleagues. Boles even personally gunned down some of them without remorse. Even worse, many of the guards he killed had families to provide for.
- On Joker’s orders, he subdued and captured Captain James Gordon.
- None of the Asylum guards mourn his death, showing no one ever liked him and hated him for his selfishness.
Why He Doesn’t Stand Out?[]
- He massively fails the Heinous Standards to many other villains in the Arkhamverse, most notably Joker, Hugo Strange, Scarecrow, Riddler, and Simon Stagg. He also fails to a bunch of other villains who are also outright.
