Cole (The Boy)

Cole is the secondary antagonist of the 2016 psychological horror thriller film The Boy.

He is the ex boyfriend of Greta Evans, who was abusive to Greta when they were dating.

He was portrayed by Ben Robson.

Greta's abuse during their relationship, it is understood that it was due to mistrust and because Cole did not want her to see his family.
When he found out that Greta was pregnant, Cole swore to change but later, thanks to one of his angers, he made Greta abort, sending her to the hospital and losing the baby (Although it is true that it was not intentional that he practically killed her son).
He was responsible for Greta being traumatized by this and fleeing to England, which would lead to the events of the film.
He intimidated Greta's little nephew into telling him where she was and bringing her back to Montana by force if necessary.
Although at first he apologizes to Greta for what he did to her, he quickly assures her that he is not going to leave him.
When Brahms writes him a message to get away, he blames Greta for writing that to him and wants to grab the doll to break it just out of anger.
He breaks the doll, which emotionally hurts Greta (who could be said to have been dealing with her trauma with the doll).
Although Brahms kills him, he deserved it for what he did to Greta.

The abuse towards Greta and the abortion it caused are off-screen, causing Cole to suffer from off-screen villainy.
He is a standard villain, as his worst crimes were abuse and a manslaughter, which causes him to fall short of the baseline.
It fails by the heinous standard of Brahms, a serial killer who killed many women and killed him.
