Quotes[]
Main story[]
- I see you scheming, Toyo. You haven't much time left. The toll for attempting to outsmart me will be high indeed.
- -- Broken Angel
- There hasn't been a single scientist with more to give humanity in the whole history of our species. It might be more important that she--that it--live than for me to. So, no. I won't be the one to remove the Angela Vessel from this dimension.
- -- Toyo Harada
- Gravedog, I want you to know, if it were up to me, I would've asked for you permission before doing this.
- -- Mech Major
- What? What the **** does that mean?
- -- Gravedog
- GHHHAAHG! Harada! You son of a bitch! What have you done to me?!
- -- Gravedog
- ...or until Rising Spirit locates our hack. But I built the hack. It'll be a while. I Promise.
- -- Mech Major
- I'm afraid I wasn't able to find much. Your false memory raises the possibility that you might actually have an imagination...
- -- Toyo Harada
- Of course I have an imagination. Debatably, that is a necessary element of sentience.
- -- Mech Major
{{Quote|...few come the visitors for Lord Vine-99... Why disrupt my Arcadian peace?|Lord Vine-99
- It is not so easy. I am built to burn. Awareness of the Harada demise will lead to cellular degenerate in me. Harada dies...I die. How long my death takes....I know not...only that it is so. Oddly... life hase become more valuable than satisfaction of hearing Harada's suffering song. I am not happy about it, but it is what it is. And so, if you came here to say that your goal is to kill Toyo Harada...then I will warn you...that is also a fight with me.
- -- Lord Vine-99
- So barks the puppy in his kennel. Fortunately fighting you doesn't concern me in the slightest.
- -- Broken Angel
- Angela! It doesn't have to end like this! Please!
- -- Toyo Harada
- Goodbye, Toyo. You were unique among your species... That is, at least, something to be proud of.
- -- Broken Angel
- Can you say that again please, Angela? This is a really big moment for me. So. Maybe say it a little slower? Just, you know, work the vowels more this time.
- -- Morris Kozol
The Life and Times of Toyo Harada[]
(Interview with Toyo Harada, CEO of the Harbinger Foundation, from 09/13/09; published in the Pre-Order Edition only)
- I met Albert Einstein, you know. Once. It was later in his life. It was really just before his death, but I'll always cherish the afternoon I got to spend with him.
- -- Toyo Harada
