Romanus is a settlement made from the ruins of Rome-Mania, a entertainment sector of New Japan that had crashed down to Earth by 4002 A.D. It is inhabited by both human and positronic survivors.
History[]
As the outlandish name suggests, "Rome-Mania" was an entertainment sector in New Japan. Its primary draw was its Positronic gladiators in "play-arenas", who held tournaments and championships based on ancient Roman gladiators. At one point, the sector became overrun by spider-like aliens, causing it to be quarantined. Despite this, when New Japan fell, many normal inhabitants of Rome-Mania survived. A roughly equal population of humans and Positrons transformed the ruins into a new city, named Romanus, heavily styled after ancient Roman culture. The city did not last long, however, as a mysterious darkness swept through the city, kidnapping humans and killing Positrons.
