The Off Road Patrol were among the first Micromasters serving under Emirate Xaaron on Cybertron. When the Battle Patrol were captured by Thunderwing and the Decepticons, the Off Road Patrol were part of the team sent under Roadhandler to destroy them before they could be analysed. They ended up rescuing them instead but failed to stop the Decepticons creating their own Micromasters. A Small War
The Off Road Patrol were later sent to Earth to join up with the local Autobots led by Optimus Prime. Assigned to investigate the activities of Scorponok's local group of Decepticons, they ended up uncovering part of a plan to create a dangerous lightning storm in order to generate energy and battling Skullgrin and Iguanus. Instead of rejoining the main Autobot army, the Off Road Patrol joined the Race Car Patrol in following Roadhandler's attempt to establish better relations with the humans. Worried by the attempts, Scorponok ended up calling in the Air Strike Patrol for assistance, who then kidnapped Roadhandler's fan club. The Off Road Patrol helped rescue them, allowing Roadhandler to defeat Storm Cloud, but Roadhandler decided their actions were placing humans in danger anyway and the Off Road Patrol departed with him for parts unknown.
