【Beginning】
‘ - Scholars of Holylight City were not optimistic about the Dragon Spiritor project at all. When the fourth Dragon Follower inherited the title, the people in charge of the project were swapped. It was not only because of the fact that the lifespan of human beings was not long enough, but also the vague attitude of the leaderships toward Ethereal Dragons.
The Dragon Followers were simply treated as powerful warriors. They were thrown onto the chaotic battlefield. During the fifth and the sixth generations of Dragon Followers, high-ranked officials gave up on the project . It was administered by low-ranking officials instead, which led to the betrayal of the two Dragon Followers.’
‘According to records, the beginning of the Dragon Follower project was marked by the delivery of the fossil of a dragon fang from Ceraphis, the Fortress of Fantasies. At the beginning, people wanted to forge a powerful draconic sword to subdue——’
- Scholar: Why is it blurred here?
‘... dragon...under Ceraphis....However...failure...assimilated...absorb power...transport...Holylight...Through many hands,...blacksmith...the Sword...’
The scholar sighed. He frowned at the unreadable passage which he had to skip.
‘...In fact, the third and fourth Dragon Spiritors had been almost flawless. They possessed the perfect ability of flying, intrepid battle efficiency, and a strong sense of righteousness. For this reason, they were sent to the defensive line of Enochian Tower, where they met their demise after fierce battles. After that, the Holy Temple was busy with the post-war recovery, so the fifth Dragon Follower stayed in Holylight City - ’
- Student: Eureka, professor!
- Student: I found the record of the Dragon Follower’s escape!
- Scholar: Let me see -
【Before Battles】
- ???: You faked mythological beast! You cannot stop me!
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: Be careful!
【Enemy Dialog】
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: Don’t fight with it! Let’s split up and escape -
- ???: No! It will be meaningless if we are not going together!
【End】
The lizard opened the cell gate. It was the first time the boy had come to this comfortable cell, but not for the sword, which returned to the cell where it once bathed in the rays of the run from the window on the roof.
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: Why are you here? I thought you were still on the battlefield.
The demi-dragon maiden was lying lazily on her bed. As there was no reply, she rose from her bed.
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: What happened - Who are you? Why do you have his sword?
- Toler: He’s dead. I am his successor, Toler. I shall -
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: Hey, Lizard! Can you bring me something to eat?
- Sacred Glare Lizard Knight: Something to eat? What does a demi-dragon like you eat? Human -
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: Anything would suffice!
She was almost shouting. After moments of silence, the lizard knight sighed.
- Sacred Glare Lizard Knight: Alright, but I will soon be back. Try not to cause any trouble.
The rosy face of the maiden paled suddenly. She went to the corner of the room and hid behind the knees. The boy came close to her. As the sound of footsteps of the lizard knight faded gradually and silence finally filled the air, the boy talked to the girl.
- Toler: My commanding officer told me that you will teach me the power of dragons.
- Toler: Who are you? What turned you into a dragon? Do you have a sword too?
Agatha knelt before the boy and held him tight. She cried as she replied.
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: I’m your family, your sister!
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: You fool! I’ve become a dragon just because you’ve become a dragon too.
Toler knew she was lying, but he still let the maiden cuddle her because he could feel a surge of warmth from his sword since he saw the maiden. The heat warmed his heart from his back and recalled his memory in the past. It was similar to the warmth that he had felt at the place where he could sleep peacefully and get everything he wanted.
- Agatha the Dragon Maiden: Don’t die that easily, okay?
- Toler: Okay.
No one discovered that the sword was giving out heat and glowing in a dim light. Its light possessed the colour of the sun at dusk, just like the last glints of the setting sun, or the last spark of the extinguished fire -
