The Lizardsaurus is a giant dinosaur-like beast used by warden Love of Honey Prison as an A-Rank Execution Beast, charged with maintaining the security of the prison and executing criminals.

Anatomy[]

It is a giant tyrannosaur-like beast with a grotesque appearance that easily dwarfs normal humans and regular beasts in size, and is the second largest creature in Honey Prison. However, there are smaller members of this species. Its skin is pale red in color and its body is covered in numerous spikes, and instead of claws, has ball-shaped, spike-covered growths. It also has one at the end of its tail. Its eyes are very swollen and appear to pop out of their sockets, giving it a very peculiar appearance.

Behavior[]

They are savage and brutal beasts but also a vigilant scouts, always keeping their eyes out for disturbances. They are easily susceptible to Love's pheromones making them docile and non-aggressive unless ordered to, and will follow all of Love's and the prison staff's commands without question. They are constantly on the lookout for escaping prisoners along the roads of the Gates of the Underworld. Their behavior in the wild is unknown.

Powers and Abilities[]

Like all the beasts of Honey Prison, it is a creature of incredible strength, something necessary for dealing with the vicious criminals of the prison and the ruthless beasts of Death Season Forest. With the many spikes covering its body, it is given quite decent protection. The ball-shaped growths on its arms and tail can act like spiked maces to crush prisoners and foes alike.

Mellow Cola Arc[]

When Toriko and Komatsu went to Honey Prison to release Zebra, they saw many Lizardsauruses of several varied sizes in their tour through the prison, which naturally horrified Komatsu on first sight. They later witnessed Zebra's failed execution, which involved his limbs being pulled off by several beasts, including a Lizardsaurus. However Zebra easily incapacitated the beasts with his sound-based attacks.

Anime and Manga Differences[]

• In the manga, the first Lizardsaurus shown did not have armor, unlike the ones that were shown after it, while in the anime, it had armor like all the other Lizardsaurus.
• Its name is not mentioned in the anime nor the manga, having only been mentioned in Toriko: Gourmet Battle.^[1]

Appearances in Other Media[]

Toriko: Bakushoku Gourmet Battle[]

The Lizardsaurus appears in Toriko: Bakushoku Gourmet Battle as a beast and collectible card that can be encountered near Honey Prison. This game is the only instance where the Lizardsaurus's name and stats are revealed. Its card's statistics classify it as a "Power" class beast with an "R++" level rarity and a single star ranking.
