The Gold Swamp is a swamp which links Yutou Island to Area 8's mainland where the Hex Food World is also located. It is one of the famous "Gourmet 100 Famous Views". The swamp is made up of gold dust with high specific gravity. Its buoyancy is so strong that one can never sink while swimming on it. Strange clouds known as Steel Clouds are found here which are declared as dangerous by Mappy. According to Mappy, if one does not dive into the swamp to avoid the clouds, death is guaranteed.
