Misaka 10777 (ミサカ一〇七七七号 Misaka Ichiman Nanahyaku Nanajūnana-gō?) is a Sister, a clone of Misaka Mikoto, that appears in Toaru Majutsu no Index. Originally supposed to be killed in the experiment against Accelerator as part of the Level 6 Shift Project, she was later transferred to an organization in Russia.[1]
Appearance[]
She looks the same as Mikoto, although for emphasis, her eyes are drawn in a different way. Like all Sisters, Misaka 10777 wears goggles and blue-striped panties. However, instead of Tokiwadai Middle School's uniform, she is seen wearing a Russian military uniform equipped with a Kalashnikov rifle.[1]
Personality[]
She has the same personality as most clones, with emotions that have been suppressed as they weren't beneficial to the experiment. After interactions with Mikoto and their experiences in World War III, she openly expresses her sadness at the level of difference after witnessing the original disable nukes and defeating 2000 armed units.
Similar to most of the other clones, she seems to have feelings for Kamijou Touma as shown when she displays envy towards how much closer Misaka 10032 and her original, Misaka Mikoto, are to Touma than her.
Background[]
Not much is known about her, though as a clone she was most likely produced a few months prior to her introduction in the story.

World War III Arc[]

Encounter between Misaka 10777 and the Original.
She meets Mikoto for the first time when she drops into Russia after the supersonic plane she was in, was destroyed. 10777 stated that after the evacuation of the organization supported by Academy City was completed, she was going to spend the rest of the time on her private business.[1]
Later, she and Mikoto work to disable all the nukes from being detonated and defeating forces from either Russia or Academy City to prevent any casualties. After that, the two take a VTOL to the Star of Bethlehem in an attempt to rescue Kamijou Touma.[2][3]

New Year's Arc[]

By the start of the new year, the Sisters had been given official identities and were participating in an experiment to see if clones could participate in society, split into groups and each trying out work in different fields.[4]
On January 1st, she was one of the Sisters present at the School District 12 shrine visited by Kamijou Touma, Misaka Mikoto and Shokuhou Misaki's groups.[5][6] In her case, she was doing some people watching, claiming to be showing off her observational skills while talking and noticing an aroma from the free amazake area.[5]
On January 3rd, she was among the Sisters who were firing the District 2 museum's Acht-Acht in a long-range attack against Alice Anotherbible's Gryphon as it was mauling Touma.[7]

Like all the Sisters, her ability is known as Radio Noise (
Other abilities[]
- Military training: Included in the information that was transferred with the Testament machines, like the other Sisters, she is proficient in combat methods such as the aforementioned use of specific weapons, can track targets, and shake off pursuers.
Equipment[]
- Weapons & Gear: She wears a special set of goggles that enables her to see electron beams and magnetic field lines, which like all the Sisters she cannot perceive without aid. Being transferred to Russia for body adjustments, she uses an AK-47 rifle, and is capable using any weapon the other Sisters have used.

Design Evolution[]
Misaka 10777 retains her looks like much of her fellow cloned sisters in order to differentiate her from Misaka Mikoto. Currently appearing in a single arc, Misaka 10777's design remains static throughout the series. According to Haimura, he wanted to put a Russian hat on Misaka 10777's design.
