Hikoichi (ヒコイチ Hikoichi?) is a minor Skill-Out thug introduced in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. His rugged boss runs a small Skill-Out territory in School District 7.
Appearance[]
Skinny and shown to be wearing a hoody, his appearance dramatically changes in the transition from manga to anime adaptation. In the original manga, strands of his hair had been made to stand on its end, giving him an extremely spiky haired look. In the anime adaptation, it is instead replaced by an afro.

Sisters Arc[]
- Main article: Sisters Arc
He is first introduced as reporting his comrades in seeing Nunotaba Shinobu dropping the purported cash cards in alley and followed her. Seeing her alone, he tells his comrades that they should go get her.[1]
He is the one who introduces the gang to Shinobu and is the one who takes her bag from her, believing that she may use an anti-crime buzzer. He is taken into the rouse by Shinobu after being touched by her after seeing that their comrade, Satoshi has been felled for reasons unknown. He is later felled by Shinobu's Critical ability, though he was just shocked to the point of being fainted due to Shinobu's excellent acting.[1]
In the anime adaptation, he instead touches Shinobu as she reaches for her bag (for the anesthetic), and instead of Tetsu showing his doubts on fighting back against her, Hikoichi instead divulges his doubt to their boss. He is also felled in the dark by Shinobu, though through the use of the anesthetic.[2]
He is later saved by Misaka Mikoto after Shinobu attempts to burn the building down.[3]
Dream Ranker Arc[]
- Main article: Dream Ranker Arc
Hikoichi let out a cry of amazement upon meeting the S-rank Dream Ranker for Indian Poker known as BLAU, who quickly chastises him for being so loud and unknowingly catching the attention of a nearby group. He and the others begin to praise his work thanking him for his dreams, and Hikochi then tries to pled to BLAU for another card despite not having enough money and is stopped as he is satisfied enough knowing his dreams bring them happiness. Hikoichi and the others praise him once more while recounting the favorite explicit acts with different celebrity women. BLAU then reveals the narrative of his latest work on dreams involving the two Level 5s of Tokiwadai. The group, amazed at his audacity, praises him once again, though this short lived as both Misaka Mikoto and Shokuhou Misaki ally themselves in order to punish them and destroy the cards in question.[4][5]
