Fun and Games is the thirteenth chapter of The Darkness II.

Summary[]

Jackie arrives to Hellgate Field as a huge storm approaches the park. When he gets near the park, Jackie sees an apparition of Jenny sneaking into the Hellgate Field through the tunnel under the boardwalk. Jackie immediately runs after her, but the Darkness tries to warn him, that it is deceiving him. Jackie ignores this warning and enters the park. The Darkling then joins him and the two venture deeper into the Hellgate Field. Inside, Jackie sees another apparition of Jenny near the shooting gallery. She asks the confused Jackie to win a big blue bear as it reminds her of him. Jackie goes along with this and wins the shooting gallery.

But instead of getting the bear, the lady who overseers the gallery gives Jenny another toy, which frustrates her. The apparition then ends as the Brotherhood assaults Jackie, seeing as he's distracted. Even with the elite members of their ranks leading the attack, Jackie manages to cut through their forces. Deeper into the park, Jackie experiences another apparition of Jenny near another shooting gallery. As before, Jenny asks Jackie to win her the big blue bear. Although Jackie is at first reluctant to go along with this, Jenny convinces him. Yet again, Jackie wins the game, but this time, he actually gets the bear as a prize. Jenny is very grateful and reveals Jackie, that she loves him.

When the apparition ends, the Brotherhood ambush Jackie. With the help of the Darkling, Jackie manages to survive the ambush, ventures forth deeper into the Hellgate Field in search of Victor. He finally sees Victor, who closes a huge clown gate behind him and sends another wave of Brotherhood forces to hinder his progress. After taking out his opposition, Jackie opens up the garage doors, letting the Darkling to drive a fuel truck through the gates and completely destroy the remaining Brotherhood forces on the ground.

Jackie then walks through the gates and sees Victor mocking him. He's fully aware, that the Darkness is manipulating Jackie for its own ends and is certain, that it will take control of him in the end. Jackie ignores his talk and tells Victor to hand over the Siphon. Victor disregards this as complete delusions. When Jackie enters the Castle of Horrors, he sees another apparition of Jenny. He joins her for the ride through the castle, fending off Brotherhood forces along the way. At the end of the ride, Jackie sees an iron maiden. When he opens it, Victor pushes Jackie with the Siphon into the maiden and closes it. Victor claims, the maiden can hold Jackie as long as it takes to drain the Darkness from him. Once their done, Victor will burn whats left of Jackie. Victor then orders Peevish to transport the Thorn Bed to the mansion.
