An Element, also known as color, is a given attribute to a Hero or Card. All Heroes and Cards come with one pre-determined element which cannot be changed.

The colors are an important feature in the game due to them dictating how much MP a player will be able to accumulate in a match based on the amount of colors within a Deck.

Element List[]

Note: The overviews below should only serve as a base of what a color's specialty is. It should not be taken literally due to, for example, Red being able to use "Halt" thanks to Trauma (T044) being Explored out of Blizzard Wolfang (TFS 010).
Red can also gain HP and <Shield> from few cards such as Castle on the Run (DTL 016), while Green can buff attack with certain cards such as Beast Cannon (COR 079) and Double-Team (TFS 045).

Red[]

RED element

The Red element specializes in attack by dealing direct damage to the enemy units and/or the enemy Hero and increasing the friendly units' attack strength.[1]

Green[]

GREEN element

The Green element specializes in healing and shielding by increasing the friendly units' HP and giving <Shield> to the friendly units or a friendly Hero.[1]

  • Gaining MP faster with the MP Boost ability.
  • Sealing units with the Seal ability.

Purple[]

PURPLE element

The Purple element specializes in restricting the opponent's movements by debuffing and/or giving Halt statuses to enemy units.[1]

Other notable specialty:

  • Lowering the enemy units' Attack.
  • Gaining HP and/or Hero Life from dealing damage.
  • Returning enemy units to the EX Pocket or the Deck.
  • Negating Action Cards.
  • Seizing control of the enemy units.
  • Locking a slot with the Lock ability.
  • Activating an effect from units with the Resonate ability by using Action Cards.

Black[]

BLACK element

The Black element specializes in sacrificing Cards and Hero Life for powerful attacks and buffs.[1]

Other notable specialty:

  • Destroying enemy units instantly regardless of their HP. Many destroying effects require certain conditions to be met such as the MP cost or the amount of Attack the enemy unit has. Certain destroy conditions may require the enemy unit to have a certain amount of HP as well.
    • Note that units with the <Indestructible> ability cannot be destroyed by this effect, although they will still be destroyed once their HP reaches 0.
  • Increasing the friendly units' stat by a large amount at the cost of them being destroyed after 1 attack.
  • Lowering the enemy units' HP. This effect can bypass <Shield>, unlike the damaging effect.
  • Returning units to the deck with <Revenge> ability when destroyed instead of going to the Graveyard.
  • Bringing their units back from the Graveyard.
