Birth of a Demon Lord ｢魔王誕生, maō tanjō｣ is the thirty-fifth episode of the anime adaptation That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and the eleventh episode of the second season.
Synopsis[]
Rimuru succeeds in collecting enough souls to carry out their plan to evolve, and the Harvest Festival begins. But they're suddenly overcome by intense sleepiness at the same time, so they summon daemons to stop Razen, the one target who escaped alive. Then, upon returning to Tempest after successfully becoming a Demon lord, Rimuru sets about attempting to revive Shion and the rest of the fallen. Through Raphael, the evolved form of Great Sage, and Beelzebuth, the evolved form of Gluttony, the secret arts of Revival, and Resurrection are activated to bring the dead monsters back to life

Summary[]
Razan cannot teleport Falmuth's king out due to an anti-magic barrier in the area. Upon seeing Rimuru, he realizes that they truly are still alive, and they kill him for his involvement in the attack. Rimuru consults with the king and the king proposes formal relations, which they decline angrily for their attack. After that, Rimuru acquires a new unique skill and uses it to execute the now surrendering soldiers, leaving only the King and the Archbishop alive.
Rimuru suddenly becomes tired and unable to maintain their human form as the process of the Harvest Festival begins. They call upon Ranga to bring them back to the city, summoning three daemons–Diablo and his two adjutants, who ally with Rimuru–to bring the one person that survived Rimuru's attack: Razen.
Rimuru falls asleep before even making it inside the city, being placed on a magisteel throne where they then finished their evolution. Rimuru's evolution results not just in an increase in personal power, but a feedback of power to their comrades via their soul bonds. Most importantly, Great Sage receives one of these gifts as well, resulting in the birth of the Ultimate skill Raphael. Meanwhile, Razen tries to fight Diablo, but the daemon is stronger than him, resulting in his capture. Once Razen is brought back to Tempest, Diablo offers his two adjutants as sacrifices to fuel the resurrection of Shion and the future Yomigaeri, which Raphael accepts. With the evolution finished, Rimuru falls unconscious.
