A swimming pool was located on Tracy Island. The Thunderbird 1 Launch Bay was located directly beneath it, allowing Thunderbird 1 to fly out of it.
History[]
In an account dated to January 1965, Brains, Jeff Tracy, Tin-Tin Kyrano, and an old lady, were sitting by the pool. Brains in particular was performing a test in the water with his model submarine. Shortly after Jeff warned Brains that Alan Tracy would be out for his swim soon, Alan indeed arrived, throwing off the towel around his neck and jumping in. He apologised to Brains for interrupting his experiment, upsetting the sonic beam. While by the pool, Jeff was notified by John Tracy, calling in from Thunderbird 5, about MI5 agent Jimmy Bondson's call.
Later, after Lady Penelope was kidnapped by criminal gang leader Carl, Thunderbird 1 was flown out of the pool. (TV: The Man from MI.5 [+]Alan Fennell, Thunderbirds crossover stories series 1 (ITV, 1966).)
